For some of us it's not about top speed and performance, it's our love for the Camaro! I like Vettes sure, but wouldn't buy one over a Camaro. With the the ZL1 I'll have a great Camaro and that's what matters to me!

You still think the stock C6 Z06 equates to pure performance?

It's been documented(and completely ignored here) that the Z06 back in 2005 was ran from a standing start. If it was a flying start,the time would easily have been in the high 7:30's.

I'm looking forward to the next Lightning Lap at VIR. I'm certain the ZL1 will be a participant there and we'll know exactly how the two cars compare at that point. Same day,driver,and conditions.

As well it should. But it's not a discredit at all that it looks like the ZL1 can keep up as well as it does with it being the type of car that it is. Both demand respect.

Agreed 100%, the Camaro is going to be a hell of a ride. For that matter, the existing models already are. But I admit I am sorely tempted by a Z06. Doesn't make the ZL1 any less of an awesome car.

Attending Car shows I am amazed at a few of the Corvette Guys who get their feathers ruffled now by the mention of a Camaro and the ZL1. Just don't get it???

I love and appreciate all cars that deserve respect, and the Corvette definitely does. I will own a Corvette one day, and could afford one right now, but at this point in time the ZL1 is the car for me.

All others that bash and get ultra defensive about their rides definitely have some insecurity issues going on.

I wonder if we can put that on a plate and turn the letters around backwards so GT500 drivers that flunked fundamental reading have NO issue reading of the words in they're rear view mirror.

Interior was non-production. It was a test-model with safety equipment (such as the racing seats and roll cage. But everything else, down to the tires, was OEM as you'd find it in the showroom.

(And actually...all that stuff made the 'Ringer ZL1 weigh a few pounds more than what it would normally...)
