Sorry guys, I forgot my son had a cub scout meeting right after I got off work and when I got home I had the itch to install my backup camera. At least it turned out really nice. I'll try to get to it tomorrow evening. Sorry for leaving you guys hanging...I'll get to it asap! I'm anxious to know like you guys.

May I ask what size that front tire is? Maybe it's just an optical illusion, but that front wheel sure does look smaller than the rear!!! I know the tire is smaller diameter, but the wheel itself looks like a 16"!!! And I'm assuming those are the 28" Hoosier Slicks on the rear, right?

That front tire is wayyyy to small for our cars. If you swapped from stock 20" to that it would lower your car about 1.85" in the front.

O I already know that. I told the owner I didn't even want the tires. So he said he'll just sell me the wheels....but the tires come with it too no extra charge. He sold the car today. He's not worried about it.

Well, that front tire is supposedly a 26" tire (M&H's measurements are rounded off), so yes, it is a bit smaller than the standard OEM 28.7. And if running a 28" rear tire it would definitely trigger some stabilitrak and/or ABS malfunction lights on the dash. But if you're not worried about the lights, or strictly using this set-up on the drag strip, surprisingly, it doesn't look all that bad. Here's a picture of a 2010 SS on 17" Bogarts, with 325/45R17's in the back and the same 185/55R17 up front. They do look a little small, but I'm sure it would work for the track very nice.

But yes, if it was my car, I'd go with the 28" bias ply front runners.

That's odd. M&H does say it's a 26" tall tire, but the numbers come out to a 25" tall tire if you plug it into a tire calculator.

I'm no stranger to small tires. From what I have noticed is that tires are usually a bit after you put the car's weight on them. The fronts I drive on are 274/45 18 and are supposed to be 26.7" tall but I measured them at 25.75" tall. My rear 295/40 18 street tires are supposed to be 27.3" but I measured them at 26.5".

My point is that if the tire is 25" tall I would think it would be around 24-24.5" on the car. That would put a car that is lowered with 1" springs at least an inch lower than I am right now and I think my car is already lower than anyone would want to go.

Anyone measure the M&H 185/55 front on their car?

Yep, I'm sure the tires do "settle" a bit after some usage (especially with the car's weight on them).

I have begged and pleaded with M&H to make a 28" front skinny radial (like their 26" version as pictured). They basically told me there's not enough demand for them, so it ain't gonna happen anytime soon!!! Guess we're stuck with the bias ply 28".

It doesn't look bad at all.

Ok, they aren't even close. It hits the caliper before it sits flush on the rotor. Here's a pic, see the gap. I didn't even try the front. Waste of time. The backspacing is way off

RSI told me their current 17x9.5 would not fit, and that is what they are working on right now. But they said the front 17x4.5 would fit. Can you please try the front???
