It was...you are a hero in my book...

There was a big banner going across the screen as they showed the helicopter feed HAVOK!

I personally liked the part you got out and stopped the hookers head to get your cash back...got back in your car...and they still couldn't catch you.

And to the OP, not really sure how you beat the police when they stop following because of roadway congestion, policy regulations, and safety of the public....and the guy gives up anyways. This thread is already turning into a "it is not easy to run from the police" discussion. I completely agree it is very easy, mainly because cops are very restricted on what they can and cannot chase yet. As many cars begin to install video cameras...all the cop has to do is relay in the information to additional units to visually identify who the driver is when he hits congested areas to slow him down... then wait at your house.

As much as I hate the concept of "big brother"...those red light cameras will be red light, speed enforcement, and identification tools in the next 3-5 years and be utilized for evidence in court. Right now it is only for vehicle ID with relation to red light enforcement. Enjoy those felonies..you aren't a criminal until you are caught, right?
Very well said. I agree with you all the way. I just don't understand why people act as if the OP is lying and that gettting away from the police is impossible. Happens more then you think, doesn't mean its any smarter to do it tho.

Technology is catching up...I just look forward to the faces we see on the news of the guy in a business suit who thought it was funny when the EMP shuts his car down a couple years from now and realizes he just had a mandatory 3 year suspension on his license...

Word. I don't have pacemakers, but I have things that are pretty much classified as them.

I get that, but I'm talking about a blow by, meaning the cop is sitting clocking oncoming cars and the car goes by at 110. The video cam isn't catching that and by the time the cop pulls out and starts the cam he/she isn't catching up to that car to even get close enough. That's what I'm talking about. At that point its real easy to outrun a cop when by the time he pulls out the car is barley visible and has sped up even more. Very easy for that car to get off the highway really fast, next exit or so and hide before that cop can catch up and see where the car has headed to or even give a great description of the driver and the car, let along have a license plate.

And don't get it confused, I'm not saying outrun the cops cause its very stupid to do it or try to. Just saying it's not as hard as some people think, and I'm just giving different situations and how it can happen.

RUNNING FROM THE POLICE IS NOT A GOOD IDEA

I KNOW because about 8 years ago I was riding with a roomate in college in his 95 Impala SS and he didn't stop , got on the interstate , and nailed by spike strips.

I was in jail 8 months for this behind this idiot, but charges were later dropped. (He had some stuff in the car I had nothing to do with , but I kept silent until I spoke with my Lawyer)

Crown Vic's are very slow but it's never worth the risk. NEVER

That's my new goal in life.

As to the OP, the cops I ride with frequently mumble to themselves "please run" when we turn on the lights. They're all gear-heads and even with their V6 Impalas could take on any idiot who thinks he's got the cajones or car to run. They always win, not just because of the Motorola, but because said idiots are usually drunk or high or both.

Think an easier life goal that you could do in your lifetime is get a speeding ticket for going 88 mph in a dmc10

That right there equals don't try it. lol

Hey gettting a big speeding ticket ain't the worst thing either. All depends on how you act when they flick the lights. I got flicked in summer of 2008 going 124 in a 70. Dumb me pulled next to the cop at 85 and when he wasn't slowing down I punched it and noticed him trying to stay on me so I dropped it to fourth and took off only for him to flick the lights after I got a half mile in front of him. He was in an unmarked and when I say unmarked I mean no lights at all visible Explorer. I pulled over right away and with a smile on my face asked him how fast and he told me and laughed backed and said I guess you were just stretching your legs huh. Point being I was cool and he was as well and only wrote the ticket for 90/70 and said just slow it down cause I don't want to be the one to come out to a beautiful wrecked car. This was done in my M6.
