go in to your local GM dealer they have the info
the magna charger site sucks though, no good info on new stuff, like thier intergrated water intercooled high "helix" supercharger for the genIII/IV engines. also for the warranties you have to have them install

I copyed these posts here, because I actually wanted to comment again :p but it'd take away from the topic over there a bit.

![]() I used to be all for Procharger, but Magnachargers really aren't really looking like that bad of a deal the more I think about it. ![]() And for the record...any blower will get me to drool, so the Maggies aren't special in that dept.

id rather put my own superchager on rather than buy the camaro with one on it. first off because it will be cheaper and secondly because i can get more power out or an aftermarket than a factory blower.
as far as the turbo lag, you were speaking of, the way to fix that is have a twin turbo set up. you hsvr one smaller turbo that spools up at low RPM and they you havethe larger turbo, that has lag but you dont notice it with the smaller turbo.

You probably will be able to get someone to fine tune it...maybe better than the dealer. But, going w/ a factory set up, you get that warranty. And, if something breaks due to that SC, it's covered. That could easily = the amount you spent in fine tuning it. Just a thought.

buying a magnacharger from your dealer means your engine is covered under a warranty and they are tuned for a balance for daily driver reliability and performance on a stock bottom end. pretty safe and some of the results are pretty good

my whole issue with that would be...is it ready to be put on a Camaro (whatever engine it might have) right after realease? Usu. the companies who sell do-it-yourselfer kits go through lots of testing before they release them for sale...
But other than that.... Magna....Charger......

Turbo hiss > S/C Whine imho. Maybe because I started with imports where most are turbos, but the hiss and BoV sound (not a metal ping) accompanying the roar of the v8 would sound better than the whine of the belt.

Nice sig Mindz
![]() I have to agree with you aswell, I prefer the "VROOOM-PSHHHT" to the "zzZZZ-WAAAAAAAAH" Edit: And if I run a turbo setup, it'll be one massive turbo. I want the turbo lag - call me crazy. I don't want it to kick in until 2500-3000RPM so that I don't have to run on boost unless I'm WOTing. |

I'm actually opposite. I rather have a factory forced induction engine. Peace of mind from having it be tested, stable, and under warranty... .. .. as long as the factory supercharged engine still has plenty of tuning potential left.
