Once your kit was installed, I drove it to and from work for a week and a half. There was one time it started hard, but other than that one time and it was after we installed the kit, that was it. When you arrived to pick up your car from the hotel, I took you and your roomate for a ride in the car and the car started perfectly, even when you left it started just fine. You called me the next morning when I was leaving the hotel and told me about the issue, and I told you I would turnaround and drive to your house to look at it. You told me not to worry about it. Well, I am worried about it. Now I am 6hrs away when I could of looked at the issue when you called.

When the customer arrived to pick up the car we all went for rides and did 4-5 WOT pulls down th interstate along with cruising down the interstate without a issue. It is not a tune issue unless a sensor has quit working.

look for carbon trails on that loose exhaust while you are down there. This sounds more like a cold side leak though.

If the MAF were installed backwards.... wouldnt it run like crap the entire time? I remember a MAF going bad on a previous camaro I owned and the car ran like dogs ass no matter what I was doing...

Did you check all your hoses too? Could be a hose loose giving false vac/boost readings

UPDATE: I called and talked with him. He said it started up fine this morning, and when he got over to the local shop that it started up fine for them as well. After a hr or so, I called him back again to find out the results and he was told that the MAF sensor bolts were loose and seemed crossed threaded. So I talked with my techs and they told me that the MAF bolts used were the ones that came out of his CAI. They did mention that the bolts were tight when screwing in the housing. We use the Cast Aluminum GM Housings in our piping. Not sure if when the housings are welded on to the pipe that it may have distorted the threads a little or maybe a casting flaw inside the threads to cause the bolts to cross thread. Also I asked him if the local shop that looked at this and found the issue actually charged him for a diagnostic fee or anything. I told him I would pay for any fee and he said no. we are also checking each individual MAF Housing and running a thread tap thru them after they are welded to make sure this never happens again. Sorry for the issue, and glad it worked out.

Could also be a dirty MAF,it may be oil soaked from the turbo bearings being flooded and passing thru the inlet tube, and if thats the case it'll just be a matter of cleaning the MAF and replacing the oil retrictor to the next smaller size on the turbo,I delt with that early on in my build just something to look@...Good luck and keep us updated.
