but... for 30k you might want to go V6, especially with that custom paint job.

you could drop a supercharger in a V6 and watch the ricers burn like hiroshima.

hahaha!! ^^ Supercharged V6 FTMFW!! I think a V6 will be more than plenty to make those little civics get smaller in your rear view mirror.

Go listen to some LS3 engines on Youtube (08 Corvette C6.) Especially those with Borla Stingers or Flowmasters. Can't beat that naaaaasty sound.
yeah so that sound REALLY makes me want a v8. Its gonna sound that good from factory, or do the borla stingers or flowmasters make it sound that much better?

Sounding better is as subjective as paint colour. Best bet is to listen to the stock exhaust, then an aftermarket one and decide for yourself.

Oh, and feel free to continue discussing 'badassery' in a new thread if you want.

I think it's time I posted this. I was trying to PM someone about it and be all cryptic, and secretive ...but the last few comments nailed it. Here's as good as anywhere

Scroll through to 1:00 and turn the volume up.
But before you play, take note of the rims, and the wheel-well gap. Look familiar?

I think that's the V6 model at the 'Ring!!! I guess they're working on tuning the V6's exhaust note as well as the V8's -- which is awesome in itself!

Well i think i am 90% sure i am going to go with a V8... Just out of respect for the camaro, and in order for it to be a "true" muscle car, it must be a V8. I plan on having this car for the rest of my life, so im gonna do it right.

and im gonna try and get it loaded as possible, i just really want nice wheels, nice sound system, and leather seats.

I own a salon so I guess ill just have to do a few (hundred) extra haircuts............

Oh and Dragoneye you might have a case of 1+1=3. While those are the same wheels and tires (near as I can tell) they don't have a whole lot to do with exhaust note . . . and they can be swapped from one car to the next, or be on several cars at once. Seeing them on a car with what looks like a V6, then seeing them on one that sounds like a V8 doesn't mean a whole lot.

I know I'm grasping at straws

...but even if it's been said that they're tuning the sound of the V6 model in addition to the V8?
And given that whatever it was, it sounded like the driver hammered it but it seemed to be going a bit slow for 400hp...
