Not sure how long to leave out, i left mine out overnight.

As Kulo said, use the white fuse puller that is located in the fuse box.

PQ, don't you have an Iphone 0-60 timer app... is it relatively accurate?

I'm going to try and do a few runs on my ls3 and post the results pre and post fuse pull. I don't know if I've just gotten used to it but I always felt my car was a tad slow... Seems like my tires won't spin unless I dump the clutch which I am hesitant to do until I get it checked out by my dealer as my release point is ridiculously high and clutch feels extremely soft.... but that's another issue for the many other threads.

I see that it says leave the fuses out preferably overnight. Why in the world would you have to leave them out for more than a few minutes?

This may have been mentioned before, but does anyone know for sure what grade gas the MFG plant put in the cars..?? I would assume these vehicles were all driven at one point or another once built, and would assume they received the recommended grade of gas. But then the dealer could have filled it up with 87, once the vehicle was sold..?

My sales person didn't know what grade of gas was put in my car when they filled it up .....so I will be doing the fuse pull. The car seems fast enough the way it is, so I really don't have any way of knowing other than pull them and run it.

Where is the fuse box located on this car please.....

In my videos it showed acurate within .1, so ya, it's pretty acurate. At the very lest, it will be acurate against it's self. And if you can give it about .2 and use the average, it's perfectly fine to use with enough different timings.

You might not. But when I first did it, I left them out for about 3 hours. Not on purpose, I was just busy.

Here's how I'd solve that problem (warning for math-phobes, avert your eyes):

Average octane for 15 gallons of gas:
[(14*93octane) + (1*87octane)]/15 = average octane for 15 gallons
1302+87/15 = 92.6

Doesn't seem too bad, but remember not everyone fills up 15 gallons at a time. As the total number of gallons filled goes down, the average octane per fill will also go down. Lets see what happens if we only do 8 gallons at a time.

[(7*93octane) + (1*87octane)]/8 = 92.25

Still seems acceptable to me.

Someone who only has access to 91 octane and does partial fills may run into issues:

7 gallons @ 91 octane w/ 1 gallon 87 octane: 90.5

PQ, what did you find recently that brought this up? How was this confirmed?

I assume the only fuses pulled are the ones that are circled in this post.

I just pulled mine for the last hour and a half...it seems a bit more vigourous... It's funny how I had a drift of fuel when I started the car, I never had that smell before when powering it up.

I talked to a few guys who are GM empoyees on here, plus talked with Bay Chevrolet and Terri Thompson Chevrolet here in my area. I had a member on here who is close to the GM team look into it for me and this person reported back to me. This is a source who has never been wrong before. And coupled with the dealer info I got. The TSB that was found, like the one posted earlier in this thread, and then fill in the gaps with frog DNA and presto. It all makes perfect sense.

What got me to thinking about it is that I was in the den and thought about it being August and last years August came rushing back in my memory. So I got to reading some recent stuff here where guys have claimed to benefit even now. And then a few 2011 cars reported gains after getting their cars and finding the fuse pull stickey and trying it.

It got me to thinking about it. So I started trying to chase the absolute info down. Info is easier for them to confirm now that time has passed. Plus, it makes perfect sense now. I was starting to get cunfused with the reported gains from even guys with 2011 MYs.

Before anyone else pulls any fuses, please if you can do a few 0-60 mph timed runs first, pull the fuses and then do a few more 0-60 runs and post your results. The more hard data we have the better.
