I tried it while doing the first oil change at 1300 miles...Didnt feel any difference. They say to leave it overnight which I think is a myth. Once the ECM loses power (which would be a matter of seconds after pull) it would go back to defaults. In fact I think my car actually woke up around 2500 miles. Clutch became more workable and seemed to accelerate faster. Us old timers call that Break in.

I did the fuse pull and disconnected the negative battery terminal over night. The car ran much smoother (no more cold engine herky-jerky's) and ran through the RPM range much better. Didn't make it any faster, just smoother running.

i think it makes a difference. i do it every couple thousand miles because even though u pump 93 octane all the time you really don't know what u are getting sometimes. does run through the gears better with some of the fuse pulls

I tried it on mine after running through the first tank of gas and refilling with 93. I dont know what my dealer used to fill up the first tank, but I could not tell any difference. At first I thought the cold herky jerky was better, but I think it is just because it was at high idle for a bit.

After installing longtubes I did the fuse pull to reset the ecu because the check engine light came on. I left the fuses out over night, and the next morning the check engine light was still on. Perhaps the battery pull is necessary for LS3... I will try it and report back.

Since you've put all that mods on your car did you get it tuned?

If you cars had 91 or 93 octane always put in them you should not notice a difference. But some dealers like mine put in 87 octane for the PDQ and that is messed them up. With times being tough alot of dealers cut corners. For the last several months though a bulletien was put out by GM 91 or higher octane only in SS's.

My LS3 has always had 93 octane from the dealer on (don't know what the factory put in it). I tried the fuse pull (@ 700 miles) early on and it definitely made a difference. But eventually, it seemed to go back to the way it was. I now have 3,100 miles, catback exhaust and shorty headers. Decided to do the fuse pull again and disconnect the ECM leads for 3.5 hours. This was 3 days ago and she still takes off like a scalded dog. Once I get my OTR CAI and install it, I'll do this procedure again so the the ECM can make the proper adjustments around the air intake. It does help but like someone else said earlier, even though you put in 93 gas doesn't mean it is necessarily good quality, therefore, the ECM can pull timing to compensate. Guess that's what must have happened to me but I've tried several different gas stations and settled on BP (Amoco). We'll see how long she remains lively this time.

I have not had it tuned yet as I may swap out the Roto-fab for the Vararam tune only unit when it comes out.

I had problems with my USB port not working. I also had issues with jerky driving while cold and it seemed transmission was difficult to get into gear when cold (especially 1st to 2nd). I did fuse pull and disconnected battery for 5 hours(approx). Reconnected battery and put fuses back in. USB works fine now and car is not jerky at all upon start up. Transmission (M6) also shifts better when first starting out while cold. I am no mechanic (at all) but I have driven a lot of different cars. It really did make a positive difference. Hell I am thrilled my Ipod works now. I don't think the fuse pull had anything to do with the USB port (that was the battery I'm guessing). But car seems to run smoother

Battery pull would of cleared the stuff in the radio, fuse pull works with engine and tranny stuff.

I'm pretty sure once you get it tuned it should clear the check engine light
