Well guys I just got the official word from Graham himself!
My car will be ready to pickup this Sat.!!

I have felt all along everyone would get it done, but the Guru's words sure are comforting!

So the plan is to drive over Friday spend the night and drive back Sat with my car safe and sound in the trailer. The plan also calls for it to be detailed before pickup hopefully they have time, and in the trailer she will sit until Thursday when I head out to Pheonix!!
I know myself, if I pull her out I will play hard, get busy and show up at the Fest "The Dirty One". Well, maybe just a couple of kinda hard pulls.

Hey Orange, I feel for you and the wait. Mine has been down for only a couple of weeks and the butterflies are back in my stomach just like the first time when my car was close to being back home from LPE.

My car should get loaded in the transporter in less than 3 hours..

(I'll clean the carpet on the Driver's side once it's there...)

Looking Good Dan!!!

By the way I will have a shop vac with me.
Not to mention a lot of other detailing related items, two low profile jacks, a couple of jack stands, impact, monster ice chest and a few emergency tools.

The trailer has a lift in it so if we need to get under the car it is covered as well.

Since your car is already there, and the ink is dry on the contract....You are in the Botherhood!

It was looking good.. It started raining just at the moment I needed to pull out of the garage to meet the truck.. :( Blah... but I packed my waxes and cleaning towels in the trunk with some other stuff.

BTW.. it only rained about 15 minutes today.. the only time my car was outside. I'll get it spiffy when it's out there..

Hey Mike.. can you pack a cut up 2X6 in the mobile palace? I need 4 pieces about 2' long..

I need them to put on the race tires.

Spoke with Graham yesterday. LPE is coming in a new 53' trailer. I'm sure it's a nice one.. Damn.. I have trailer envy. My 28' tag is just too short.. LOL

Want to guess what color the NEW LPE Camaro is?
HINT: it's NOT White..

Aw Man! Sounds like my kind of luck. I think just to be sure mine stays clean I will put the cover on it in the trailer. I dont know how it happens but the trailer is 100% watertight, even thru the truckwash, but dust.......This stuff we have out here is kin to pixie dust, or Houdini powder! One sandstorm and its all over.

Once they start, it's full steam ahead! Hang in there, it's fun going through the "process", and adding/changing things to your build.

What are you doing besides the 650 kit?
Anything done to your car before it went to LPE? just curious.

Post some Pictures when you have some.

You will love it as much as we all do when you get it back!

I sent it there with a Full JBA exhaust system (LT headers and HF cats) and when I go to pick it up I will start the Build journal thread with pics of the build and modifications and video of the drive home.

I have a long list of cosmetic upgrades in store for it when I get it back home but there is one thing I have been on the fence about for the longest time. LPE has a KILLER rear end that should be ready by the time my car is done and I can't decide on that or all the other cosmetic/lighting/paint stuff I had planned.

I don't need anyone to tell me, "do you want to look like you have 650HP, or do you want to be able to USE all 650HP"... Unfortunately that decision is not as easy for me as it would be for others

On a positive note... I have +8 weeks to decide lol

You all could help me out with one question though. I had a long discussion with Jeff and the LPE crew about how to make my stock drive-train last for at least 35,000 miles with over 200HP added to it. Are any of you still running +600HP through the stock drive-train and if so do you have any tips for me that doesn't cost "X"-thousand dollars? Do any of you have video of how you shift/race from inside the car so I can see your footwork. A few weeks ago I shot a video of me and a buddy waking up the cars from our winter break... by watching this video can you tell if I am shifting right or how can I change something about my driving to reduce the chance of tearing the half-shafts in two. FYI, I only do this about once or twice a year (and when a pus-stang meets me at a light), its not like I drive this way every day

Sorry all, I cant say what color the project car is. What I can say is that I am lacking sleep and still working on it. As Graham posted, we might be assembling it in the trailer on the way to Arizona!!!! See you all soon...

I think the best advise I could give with the 650 package is to go on and do the twin disk clutch, and at least the HD halfshafts. There have been plenty of both trashed with stock power, much less an LPE monster build. The rearend in my car was on its last leg, I only have about 2000 miles on it since LPE worked their majic. Truth is as we add lots of power to parts engineered for stock power bad things happen.
I personally feel the stock rearend was loose from day one, as others have held up better.
