My question is skip shift... is this disabled in PTM modes?
If you are using any of th ePTM modes, I doubt whether you'll be driving the car so sedately you'll encounter the skip shift.

No problem then... coming from an Auto guy I wasn't sure when it kicked in or if I needed the eliminator.

I asked SCOTT (FBODFATHER) if "NO LIFT SHIFT" was independent of the PTM system and he asked TONY ROMA for confirmation and the answer is "YES". I have confirmed this several times while getting on the freeway (not in a PTM mode) and it works flawlessly

Thanks CCM for the link to those videos. I now have a better understanding of what no lift shift is designed to do, how it works and what to expect when using it. I had a totally different interpretation as to what it does. All is good, the car performed exactly as it was suppose to.

snappe32, so all of us can learn something did the RPM's bounce off the redline or hold short?

Yes it hit redline. What I wasn't using was the shift light hud setting. Next time I'm going to use the shift lights and see if it recommends that I shift earlier than what I was shifting at on my own. See if that makes a difference.

The tach needle is mechanical. The engine will rev faster than it. The digital shift light seems to be right on for me. Also with my car you barely even have to push the clutch pedal down. Maybe an inch of travel. When using the no lift shift if you press the clutch down all the way it will not work.

Ok 16floz470ml, when you say "if you press the clutch down all the way it will not work" adds more confusion to an already cloudy subject....Explain please????

Yes even though the tach is electronically actuated the needle can't keep up! If it's like the Sol GXP I wonder what the RPM window is? ?In the Sol there is a specific RPM range you must be in to activate the NLS.

No... it WILL WORK if you press the clutch pedal all the way down as I have done it. The problem is The Gen5 Camaro has a very narrow clutch "FRICTION" zone so you get jerky shifts and starts (from a complete stop) that sometimes aren't so smooth unless you are right in that sweet spot, which I have found is about an inch or so of pedal travel.

This. I just traded in my 2007 Solstice GXP with the GMPP tune and 3 bar sensors. I never played with the no-lift much and never really cared about the feature as the car got rubber in every gear but 5th, and I forget if it needed to be in 'competitive' mode or not for operation

I also regretfully forget the rpms I shifted at. The whole deal seemed too fussy for me. I was more interested in the 3 bar sensors and the elimination of the 'learn down' feature, not to mention the added 80 lb/ft of torque. The LNF is a great little engine. It felt like I was driving a small V8
