Umm...but the original poster already stated the other cars tested were coming where they were expecting to be. Sorry man, there is always better equipment and preferences but "..the only two dynes anyone should use"?

Can you explain how a Dyno which is used to measure RWHP takes into account the aerodynamics of the car?

It is possible with the electric steering and duel tipped exhaust. I can see GM playing with the tune because of the Mustang. The Tune could be more aggressive from the factory and nobody knows, just as they say the mustang is underrated in HP. I used to have a 2011 2ss L99 and the dyno jet showed it put down 375hp stock. the operated stated he had manuals transmission Ls3 put down less. Now I have a 2012 45th 2ss and it feels even faster. I believe those numbers are true...ED

TRAMTWO you really stirred it up now. All of the factory freak claims are popping up now...

In all seriousness...anything is possible. However, if we look at the facts and history of THOUSANDS of dynos this one seems to shine too bright and stand too tall. We all want to believe there are factory freaks...and there are...but this one is just a little wild.

It's like I wanna believe this is true, but I know it probably isn't. Here's the sure fire way to find out if it's a freak. Do ANOTHER dyno pull on a different dyno...any dyno. Then go to the dragstrip and see if you are in fact trapping higher than other LS3 cars. Report your findings here. MOAR EVIDENCE!!

Short, simple, and sweet- go do at least 2 more dyno pulls at different dynos and do some 1/4 mile runs, at least 3. Post all results w/ supporting records.

Somethings not right with the time to go from 2500 RPM to redline. I timed 4.8 seconds based on when the operator hit the throttle and let off. I looked at a video of a guy I know with Wipple and his time was just under 9 seconds and he was pulling 545 RWHP on a Dynajet. Makes me think he was in 3rd gear.

watch the video close a few times right at the beginning. IMO I only see him go from 1st(when the vid starts at a very low speed), into 2nd gear......and then into 3rd. He holds it there until he does the pull.
Even his shoulder motion makes it seem like he pushed the stick forward into 3rd and not backward into 4th before the pull.

Like I said earlier......i had 1600+ miles on my car before my baseline and I only pulled 378WHP. I didnt baby my break-in either so I'm guessing 99% of all 1LEs that baseline will be 378WHP +/- 10WHP......not +24.

Go to a dynojet , they are more consistent from one shop to another.

Anyone think that his hard break in method could of netted a few more hp from the motor? I've always done slow break in but have always heard a hard break in somehow makes the motor stronger. he could have a slight freak with a few more hp from factory plus a few more from hard break in plus a slightly generous dyno. I believe his 402 but i'm a complete dyno noob. but my buddy calls my v6 a diamond in the rough and he thinks mine runs stronger than other stock v6's, which i kind of think he is right because mine does run very strong for the v6. so ya i think he got a diamond in the rough like me, polish it n watch it shine above the rest!

Tramtwo, I wanna believe as well. I'm really curious to see results from another dyno. I understand that it's easy for me to say, as I'm not the one paying for a dyno just to affirm your results. That said, I still hope you do.

BTW, I love the color of your 1LE. It looks great!

Thamks. It will see more dyno runs. The good news is there are predictable results from bolt ons. So when I add them and dyno we'll see. Obviously I doubted the results but i have not dismissed them either.

That's what I think. I just watched a ZL1 on the dyno and it took 6.5 seconds to go from 2000 RPM to redline. No way this dyno run was done properly. Sorry man, would have been nice.
