Sounds like the dealer was engaging in some scare tactics..."buy 'em before they're gone!"....or else he was severely misinformed. :(

The car's going to be produced a few months longer than normal for a single model year. March '09 - ~July '10. If the sales numbers keep up, they'll probably top 100,000 units, actually.... Which would be awesome!!

Also, the 8.1 L V8 Vortec in my 03' Yukon XL still hauls pretty well

to camarouser! The last time I checked there were alot more than one Honda Plant...
The word from GM rep's is about 45000 unit's should be built until 2011 build year.
There are 30000 plus pre sold to date.
If you don't want to pay market value see Doug Mabe at Friendly Chevorlet in Dallas TX.

From what I understand it's a 2010 model due to legal issues and not being able to produce a Camaro anywhere else (other than the other plant in Canada that was demolished) up to and including the 2009 model year. But they cut that contract short obviously, but still had to call it a 2010 model... or was I miss understanding all that talk?

The contract WAS cut short. ...and the contract stated up until a later model year...can't remember what/when...

thats ok liquidfire, local dealer has one here with the gfx package, 2ss, he wants 50 thousand for it!!!!! it can sit and rust i told him. no way in hell would i buy a CAR that starts to come close to what my truck cost me.

had a dealer tell me they were making only 20K as i looked at one with a vin well over that. I know they want to sell as many as possible but in honesty i wish they would limit production.( i dont think they ever would) But I think the biggest thing i dislike about the mustang is that they are EVERYWHERE now every Tom, Dick, and Harry one and they are not special in any way. I dread the day that there are sooo many of them on the street. I know some will not agree but o well.

40k is BS. But they are not manufacturing them as quickly as they can, They want to keep demand high, and keep us ordering them and paying MSRP or more for them.
