mine is an auto, can it be done? i am not sure of the part number but it is made by ALERT. says it comes with all the hardware, do it yourself, 15 min run time, pit stop mode... i would take it somewhere and have it done though.. if not i'll just sell it

im sure if its a simple system it can be done, stand alone remote start (not adding keyless entry and stuff) ummm factory fobs wouldnt work you will need to get fobs from alert. ummm prob the 150 series which is basic add on remote start.

a basic alert remote start is only like 45.00 even the "better" one they meke is under 100 and thats keyless entry as well. i wouldnt use it,if you pay someone to install it aint worth it fobs will run you like 20 each install about 50-75 depending on shop and alert product arent that great, shitty range and not so great hardware, if i were you id either buy the factory kit from gm and plug it in ( some wiring i think but nothing major) or im sure for under 200 you can go to a local shop and have a decent system installed. most shops dont wanna touch that system cause if there is a problem with the hardware it looks bad on them..
