On Star is an great safety feature, no reason to get rid of it. I just hope they paint the shark fin antenna the same color as the car.

They can provide evacuation routes in the event of a hurricane (i'm in FL) and a lot more. OnStar is a great feature if you're not too stubborn to learn about it.
Will it pay my bills and remember to send my wife flowers on our anniversary too?

I just might end up keeping OnStar after the first year I own my Camaro.

Ah but that's providing that we actually do get our European version of the Camaro's, there still has been no confirmation about it for Europe outside of the UK. So far the only sure thing for Camaro in Sweden is car dealers that specialize in importing cars, and they don't remove the fin it seems. Perhaps I'm wrong and there is OnStar here, but I doubt it. Would be nice if the Swedish Chevrolet site was worth a damn and actually gave us some info about all this stuff....

Yes there has.
Fbodfather has said that it will be exported to numerous parts of the globe.
That article that confirms the UK? It also said that the UK is only going to get 600 of 2000 RHD cars. The rest will surely go to other parts of Europe as well as other continents who drive on the right.

(to be fair, though -- we haven't heard anything about Sweden, in particular.:()

^It's the last bit there that has me a bit worried. Now I'm not going to distrust fbodfather's word, but it just tends to be that we Swedes get the short end of the stick with a lot of things.

Also I'm now pretty sure that in any case we'll get the fin here also. Saw one on a brand new Saab the other day :/

Isn't there also an incentive for reduced insurance when using On Star?

Would this be the kind of thing you are talking about?

I would think so since they give you an insurance break for having an alarm system. I don't know for sure however.

I already put this up, maybe people will see it this time. This is a 2008 Corvette's windshield. I took this picture from the passenger seat.

I am talking about the AM/FM mast antenna, not the On Star antenna. Unless you said something about it and I missed it.

That's the only type of antenna on the Corvette that I can find...

Well thats what I want to know, the current Corvette Convertible has no mast antenna for the AM/FM radio. It must be hidden in the body, and I hope they do the same for the Camaro Convertible because I really hate how the mast antenna looks on cars.

I want it hidden, or I will have to do something aftermarket like have a power antenna installed. The On Star antenna isn't a big deal to me since it isn't 3 feet tall, I just hope they paint it the same color as the body.

If anyone knows more on the subject I would love to hear from you, I am curious how they do it for the Convertible Corvette.
