LMR has said from day one they would put theirs up against all others. In fact they encouraged this type competition until talk of "independent" testing started coming up. Jannetty stepped up and performed a completely unbiased test and the results are what they are. At least LMR puts it out there for all to see.

Definitely not as many parameters used as Jannetty but fun to see none the less. I want to see a lot more of this... Vararam is next...

Sort of... not a stock version but one that makes about the same as stock.

Guys, I am the one that had the CAI inc intake on my car. Me and a friend went up to the shop just to look around and we started talking to the guys. They just wanted to put it on the dyno and see what it would do, I agreed because I wanted to see what my car dynoed at either way. I told them I was not going to buy thier intake and they were ok with that. They were NOT trying just to make a sell. After the test was over, he let me have the intake for no charge. If he was just trying to make a little money, he wouldnt have givin me his intake AND let me keep mine. The CAI inc IS for sale so if you want it PM me. Either way, LMR has a customer for life with me because of the people and the quality of work they produce. He performed the test and I was right there, all the temps where the same, everything was plugged up, it was a legit test. On the other hand... ITS A COLD AIR INTAKE!!! On a daily drivin, mild build, it makes no diffrence who makes what because in the end, you buy it because you like the way it looks the best. To each his own! But LMR is truley an outstanding company and I WILL be going back in the very near future. I got to walk around the shop and check out some of the work they were doing and WOW! To put it simply, if people trust them with cars like ZR1s, Z06s, Vipers, ect... and come away happy, why wouldnt I trust them? So say what ever you want about the people, the products, and this test, but I know exactly where I will be going to get work done on my car!

FOR SALE: CAI Inc Intake!!!

P.S. I have the dyno sheet... I will post pics later.

P.S.S. To the guy that was wondering why it was in my trunk and not in the trash... Would you throw $400 in 5 dollar bills away because somebody gave you 4 $100 dollar bills??? DEE DA DEE!!!!

Hey blasstoff, aren't you even interested in knowing how the LMR would perform with the hood down against the CAI Inc.?

To put it bluntly... no. Its a cold air intake... period. Honestly, I like the way the LMR intake sounds when it sucks air in more then the CAI inc., I am blacking everything out on my car so the black intake goes better with the color scheme, and most of all, the customer service at LMR is AMAZING! Every one of the guys up at LMR are awsome and down to earth and willing to answer any questions I had, and not once did I feel like I was in the way or anything, and that was after I told them I wasnt interested in buying anything. I just wanted to check things out and look at the WORLDS FASTEST AND QUICKEST 2010 Camaro(wich was awsome!). Now that I have seen the work they do, I am going to let them build my car. The test we did was just for the hell of it, if people are concerned about all these diffrent variables, do they think all the variables stay the same when they drive down the road??? Things change constantly no matter how "controlled" they are.

Oh, and yes, I know some of you are wondering... all the stuff in the trunk stayed in the trunk. So I dont want anybody saying "well the results could have been diffrent if they took the stuff out of the trunk for the LMR intake test!"

This thread sadly turned into pointing fingers and somewhat down-talking one another. I do however, like that we were not attacking each other, showing each other respect, and just focusing on what was "said".

BlaSSt Off, you offered your dyno sheets and I think it's cool of you to do that, thanks! As Milk has suggested, we should all just do our own research and go with what we think is best in our cars. In the end, we're the one's that are going to be driving them, right? If aesthetics is your thing, cool! If materials used is your thing, cool! But make sure it's what you want and like!

If you guys want real power, get a supercharger

Okay, back to

For the record, I'm really happy with my LMR intake. I think the quality is top notch. I definitely noticed an increase in torque as well as the noise factor. Don't get me wrong, didn't pay full retail for mine, but that doesn't matter. I bought mine second hand.

LMR make a quality product that I feel will last many many miles. If you don't like the LMR, DON"T BUY IT. Life is all about choices, and it's a good thing there are so many choices for us Camaro owners to make.
