I will say right now, not exaggerating, and no kool-aid....the visibility out of the Camaro is BETTER than that of the Cobalt. After finally experiencing it myself, I can't help but dismiss complaints of visibility.

Credibility= Believe his story in this case. You believe him... A. a mustang fan/driver with a random story that is highly unlikely with a highly unlikely outcome with zero proof vs. B. Two separate confirmed tests and or common sense/power to weight etc. I understand mag tests dont mean much. But they mean a whole lot more than some random story with all these variables etc I cant believe I wasted my time explaining something you all ready knew in the first place but just dont want to admit....but whatever. |

And according to that same test, the mustang will run a 13.2 @ 109, but we all know it's capable of quite a bit faster. Anyway, let's leave the speculation to Stephen Hawking. I'll wait until I see some races to get a real idea of what's what.

Well, the Camaro was on my list of cars to buy until I sat in one. Super cheap interior.
I went and looked at a 2011 Mustang and it's VERY nice and you get a lot for the money. I plan to test drive one soon. I won't be giving up my Challenger though, it's just too unique. That's really my only complaint so far with the Mustang...there's so many of them. The upside to that is aftermarket support is quick to come about....something the Camaro will enjoy as well. The Challenger not so much but they only built ~1200 R/T 6 speeds in Hemi Orange for 2009 so I don't expect it. However, I can pull up to a cruise with 400 cars and be one of only 2 or three Challengers in the whole lot. |

What's funny is how much complaining there is about mustang talk on a camaro forum (mustang is THE direct competition) in a thread with mustang in the title in the "chevy camaro vs" sub-forum. What do you guys expect to see in this thread, the new civic si?

So what you're saying is on average it's reasonable to think that it would take the mustang 6.6 seconds to get from 110 to 130? That's DECENT for a 3v buddy. I didn't say the mustang didn't lose the test legitimately, I simply said we all know it's capable of faster. Do you disagree or not? If you don't, I don't know why you commented. If you want to keep thinking you're going to pull 10 cars on a 5.0 from 100 to 130, by all means go ahead. Don't be shocked when it's extremely close.

Well we raced the Camaro and the 2011 GT Mustang today. The Camaro ran 10.54@134 and the all stock Mustang ran 13.05@111.9. The Camaro is a KB powered 6.2 L99 and the Mustang is N/A auto with 315 gears. The Mustang will definitely run mids 12's with just a gear swap, and 12.0x with a tune and cat back.
As for the window situation.. I too do not like all the blind spots. I have cut a few people off in the Camaro. I definitley have to double check before lane changes. If I had to compare the Camaro to the older s197, Id say Camaro all the way.Buuuutt..The new 5.0 on the other hand is a more refined version of the s197. The interior of the Mustang is nicer, it handles considerably better, and the steering is quite bitchin. The steering is controlled via a electric pump .The steering effort never changes, its the same regardless of speed. If decision is made on performance,Its gonna come down to choice, as both cars perform well. JMO. I too will not seperate from my Challenger.I just flat out love my SRT8. |

ive "had it" for years now.
anytime i run a Camaro i always let them know that i "have it". thus when they saw my tail lights then they "had it". of course this is fiction...theres NO WAY a Mustang can beat an F-body...regardless of the generation...right ULTRA?
