Now you do not have to worry about your car while you are on duty, and you can get a newer, better one when you get back.

On a side note, if your friend is really a "friend," he would understand your position. While the situation is unfortunate, you have to worry about yourself and your property, because clearly your friend and his family did not. Hopefully you can now move on with little stress and aggravation. Best of luck.

I gaurantee they did burnouts and hit redline a few times before they wrecked it. Once the insurance replaces it, you'll have a fresh new Camaro.

This time get OnStar and dont trust anyone with your baby...

God bless you for your service, sir. You totally did the right thing sending that little skank to jail for a while. She might learn that you can't just use, use, use without consequences.

Help her to grown up. Tell the police the complete truth and let the insurance pay for your car. I'd say to her, should have thought what you were doing before you did it. Also let your friend who allowed her to take it know where he stands with you also. No good friend would have let that happen in the first place.

1. I say report it stolen if the parents DO NOT buy you another Camaro because she needs to have a lesson taught because you know she will never have the money to buy you a replacement for a long long time.

2. If by chance they are willing to replace your Camaro for an exact match to what you had then I would not press charges. I mean I am all for people being responsible for what they do but like you said you do not want to screw her life up more than it already is.

Not Related: Thank you for your service to this geat nation we call the U.S.A:flag2:

I thought that there was long term parking/storage on post. I know this is an after thought. I have known many people that used this option. I am happy to hear things are going to work out for you. God speed! Hooah!

It's good to know that you won't have a car payment now until you get back... now you can sock that money away, just as if you were still making the payment and put it down when you get the replacement. then your payment should be lower than it was before.

Why get the money back for the upgrades if you are still replacing the car? Won't you still want to upgrade that one?

I'm glad your friend told you that he wouldn't hold it against you for pressing charges. It would suck to lose a good military friend over something like this. You'll probably never have to deal with the parents or sister again anyway. You did the right thing... thanks for sharing your story and thank you for your service!

Most post to include Ft Stewart do have long term parking for deployed soldiers, but in the case of Ft Stewart that consist of a fence surrounding a gravel field, no in door structure, no climate control, no one starts your vehicle, and very little security. The only people I have seen leave cars there are people with old model cars they already own and dont care much about.
