I've tested GM's DI 2.0, and it is an impressive engine. But engine is really just a component of the overall car. The Cobalt was not a great platform at all. |

I disagree, Nobody comes into our dealer and looks at a vette and walks away with a camaro. If they want a vette they buy or order a vette of their liking. And yes the cobalt and cruze is oriented to different people. And the new cruze just sucks all around. Took one for a ride and when people say it cant get out of its own way, its the truth.

And by the way, the LLT has some forged parts and some that aren't. It won't be the internals that go first, it will be the tranny. With a good intercooler and meth I wouldn't be afraid to put 12-14 psi on mine, except I'd leave gears on the track. Go look at the GM and this forum's Wiki sites and you'll see the engine isn't the problem. After that you would have to worry about the rod bolts and perhaps the pistons (but MS3 have similar pistons and aren't granading at 20+ psi).

I spent part of the money I was saving for a Z06 on my Camaro, and some more on the custom turbo setup. It happens.

Corvette sales in 2009 were, on average, down 52% in sales from the 35,310 Corvettes built in 2008 to just 16,956 built in 2009. What changed? In 2009, Camaro was released.

Really who cares. A fast turd is still a turd.
Not that the Cobalt is a turd, but it simply is not in the discussion with the Camaro, fast or not.
