I agree the live axle kills it completely, FOR a live axle they do handle well but if you compare to competition that just hurts them too much

I've had mine for a week... here's what's happened in that week.
1. Kids running and yelling about the cool car 2. Pedestrian flourished (in a cool way) 3. Lots of head turns 4. Lots of people driving beside me to look in (either through the sunroof or other windows (still untinted) 5. Notified that coworkers were drooling over it 6. It picked up a chick for me... doorbell rings, I thought it was the pizza, instead it's a drunk girl asking for "John," no John here, and none of my neighbors are named John. She doesn't leave but asks me if I'm sure. If she had been prettier, maybe. But at least it got a bite! ![]() So, I think most people are more than fine with the matte black hood. |

When I was at Spring Mountain, the one thing I noticed was that the hood graphic takes a beating and the paint shows through pretty badly on the bright colored cars. On the Argent Grey and Black, it looked really good though!

That is a matter of opinion, I would of assumed it didnt look good but in all honesty I like it, especially the pre-production prototype 1LE that had the hash marks.

Don't bite, he's just being a little defensive right now. Definitely post some pics of your ride!

Yes but think about if from Ford's standpoint. Probably 90-95% of Mustang GTs owners that race these cars will do it on the drag strip, for this purpose the present rear-end axle setup is ideal. Try launching a SS at 3500-5000 rpms with DRs or slicks and see what happens. All of us being honest here, how often do we compete with another car in the curves, whether it be on the track or the street. I have been running fast cars for nearly 30-years, I can't ever recall racing somebody through the curves. Not that I wouldn't like to give it a try someday. What you have to remember is Ford's fan base for the mustang is the 1/4 mile, they focus on it. If they happen to get a car that handles well in the package it's just a bonus. Proven by examples like the 2013 GT500, 5.0 and 2013 Boss (while promoted as a corner carver, it still can lay down serious 1/4 mile times).

They're in for a rude awakening then with the next generation Mustang. Ford left it that way because it was cheaper and they had no competition. Now that the competition is back they're spending the $$$$$ for a more modern chassis and suspension.
