Nice idea.

I wondered what GM was thinking, or Not thinking.

Ummm, I don't see what the problem is here.

I open my gas door and I hang the cap CAREFULLY on the little hook on the door and there are no problems. I've been doing this since day one w/o a single scratch anywhere.

just be careful and there shouldn't be any problems.

listen to this guy. He's very smart. I think the problem is ,they have the hook in the wrong location. It needs to be moved to the right about 2inches.

Unless you have a new car and the problem doesn't exist anymore...

Wonder what VIN started the new style cap holder...

I don't know. What change did they make to it?

The line holding the cap is not as rigid anymore (more like a piece of string). So it hangs nicely on a slightly bigger hook. No wonder some people can't understand that others are having problems...

It was a pleasant suprise during my first fill up on the new car a couple weeks ago. I was always fighting that cap (like others) on the first Camaro #8675

So if they fixed this problem on the new car....how about a recall on the old ones which are really a pain.

I was actually going to post this, but in a joking matter. The word "RECALL" will never be associated with replacing the gas cap lanyard.
