What does it mean when the service engine soon light is flashing?

Just got the estimate for the shop to fix my car.. It is in the range of $1100-$1500 All mods have come to a screeching halt for quite awhile.

So what did he say was the problem? 1100-1500 is insane that doesn't sound right unless he is replacing the engine.....

Depends on what they charge for labor.. my brakes on my exploder cost well over 800 bucks because the calipers were seized to the rotor. I called BS until they took me out to see it on the lift and sure enough, piston smeared on a cracked rotor..

Just for the brakes on 4 wheels..

Depends on what they found. I'd ask to see an itemized list as well as have the mechanic who went over the car and wrote up the quote go through the car with you. Blinky SES really doesn't mean much, also post up the codes that they pull from the car and also google them. Could go a long way to avoid BS charges and unnecessary fixes.

There was quite a bit wrong with it.. as you can tell.. The total only came out to $532.03 which was way below their estimated total. So now I'll be able to afford finishing it

I can't sleep so I'll just give you guys the latest rundown on how the painting is going. So far everything has gone pretty swell just taking a little longer than I hoped because of working all the time. The whole thing is sanded but I'm taking the extra time to get all the little details. I also decided that an SS spoiler would compliment the SS hood very well. I ordered it this morning so hopefully It should be here by the weekend so i can prep it for primer.

My goal is to have it all done by the middle of next week(ish). Wish me luck!

It's finally in primer! I'm going to lightly sand the primer tomorrow, put the hood and spoiler on, and it'll be ready for base

I totally missed the post where you said you were painting the entire car. I thought it was just the hood!

Nope, you could never match that color no matter how hard you try. The new color looks 100like times better anyway

Wheels will be the hardest decision yet.. I was thinking wider tires and spacers so the wheels stick out a little bit more on each side giving it a BA stance when you see it from behind.
