I would call myself a fan of the Camaro maybe not a fan boy (I will call it as I see it and always with fact to back it up), but have been waiting for Vararam patiently as this might be what I willl go with as far as a CAI. I hope to get more info and not even sure I want to mod our 2010 much if at all (Have a moded car that can be a pain at times). I see both side of the ongoing saga of CAI and both sides have good points. I just don't have all the data I need so I will continue to be patient and have a wait and see approach. Tack would be the best approach rather then full on flaming that seem to be the more common on the web.

i paid for my dyno pulls and if you think a $390 CAI is worth 6000 mi + on my car, and the Gas is more then the CAI, as for tuning my car, My car dos not have a tune on it and if it ever gets one the only guy that will do it is some one that has not chimed in on any of thread. You say that i am on all the CAI threads i am not it is the way you look at it, I had a CAI manufacturer ask me on Saturday if i can help him find the right location for the MAP censer as his unit did some funny things at start up, and if you dont like what i have to say don't pay attention.
You can chose not to read my post as i have done to some. |

Any CAI manufacturer that would ask YOU where they should put their MAF sensor (not MAP censer) shouldn't be in the business. Most CAI manufacturers have engineers on their payrolls that can figure out where the best location for a MAF sensor. You have to understand fluid dynamics to know this. If they had read any of your post on this subject they wouldn't come within a mile of asking for your opinion. I'm guessing that Vararam is really having second thoughts for ever considering having you as one of their testers. Just my humble opinion, but doubt I'm alone. Please read and heed the quote by Ben Franklin on my signature!!

Well I have test unit #008 and my car made 75 more HP at the rear wheels without a tune and I can prove it! I even had some extra to put in the glove compartment.

OK now I am not a beta tester for Vararam but I have to say I have been waiting for this CAI for months. NOT because of what 2SSRS says about it but because I have done a lot of research on this CAI. Unfortunately I have to say, the more I read from 2SSRS the more I am turned off to this CAI. Other CAI manufacturers have put out numbers and backed them up and for the most part, no one has over exaggerated their numbers. 2SSRS, by continuing to state that the Vararam will put out 40hp with no data to support that, you are setting Vararam up for failure. Vararam sales, if you are listening, you may want to tell your beta testers to speak conservatively of the HP/TQ gains of this CAI. If you state this CAI will produce 20hp and the first person on the wait list has his car dyno’ed and it shows 40hp, you guys are hero’s and everyone will just say, WOW Vararam was very conservative on their numbers. BUT, and this is a BIG BUT, if you state that it puts out 40hp and the first person on the wait list has it dyno’ed and it “only” puts out 30hp, people will throw the BS flag. You may get more people taking you up on your return policy as the CAI is not living up to the performance that 2SSRS stated!
Just my two cents, but what do I know, I am only a Satellite engineer!

Dont forget K&N as i got a free air filter and will get a CAI so i most have a BIASED. One more thing to for you to think on As i and some more guys on hear all so got Revolution Supersport Camaro to come on on this site and show all of us his hood and parts and for that i have to pay for his part for my car. |

Thanks, Kirk (satellite engineer).
Just got tired of reading 2SSRS's bashing all the CAI's that aren't Vararam. Vararam is caught in the middle and has to try to live up to his baseless claims. To think you can get a baseline from one dyno, then go to an entirely different dyno(even different brand) and get the Vararam tested. AND expect people to believe the results. ![]() Sorry, I just snapped.
