Seriously though, if a clutch is enough to break your bank and turn you off on a car, you are so far in the wrong hobby it's not even funny.
Do you even read my posts or just skim? I probably shouldn't bother to explain it again but I will.

The reasons there are hot spots in the McLeod is because the disc was bent and dragging. Lee at McLeod determined this after physical inspection. That clutch has since been replaced by McLeod. The noise in the second McLeod is coming from something else. The first unit made the same noise. They said their unit will make more noise then stock but not as much as mine is for some reason. Right after the installation of the second McLeod by the dealer, I had the dealer tech, GM, and even a customer ride with me. They all heard the noise and all said I was driving the car normally. They said it if was them they'd find that unacceptable. I'm working with McLeod to try and figure it out. They are using the same unit as the 07-09 but the slave cylinder is different in the 2010. I basically had to buy the 2009 slave to make it work. Something else might be slightly different between the two models.

Here is a video with me from the drag event. From 8:16 on. Really hardcore Shelby breaking stuff here.

I ended up having to install a McLeod clutch and flywheel because the OEM unit was on constant back order after waiting for months. I ended up with $1800 dollars in expenses taking away the down payment money for a 2011 Fiesta I planned to buy as a daily driver.

I went all the way to the top of the chain. I ended up dealing with Ken Czubay's team only to get a "free" extended warranty if I bought the Fiesta. I had my final conversation with one of his team members and a plant engineer today. They said because I had posted on the forms I had taken my car down the drag strip for fun at a track rental that I overheated it that day. Even though it was fine and didn't fail until and couple of months and thousands of miles later.

The bottom line is this. If you have any kind of fun in these cars Ford will look for anything to get out of assisting you. What’s the purpose of buying a Mustang for if you can only drive it like a Fusion? I went out of my way to buy this car earlier then I really could afford last year to help them out for not taking bailout money. This was supposed to be a dream experience for me and instead has been a nightmare. It's going to be hard for a loyal Ford guy leave but I'm so disgusted about this. Ford rather jump over a dollar to save a dime.

To all you Mustang posters on here be careful what you say online. Ford is watching....
I think I read about a similar experience with a Camaro owner.

I read your responses here and on SVTPerformance. Do you not understand why the majority of the responses are along the same theme? You took a modded car to a dealership, after drag racing it, with clutch issues and whined about Ford being at fault. Do you not see that you're pitching a very public tantrum? When our bone stock Camaro blew all the driveshaft bolts, did I make a thread on every one of the many sites I'm a member of denouncing Chevrolet for not using good enough bolts, and then take my ball and stomp home?

Accept responsibility for your actions and decisions. Don't blame Ford, the dealer, the inspector, or the installer because you made the decision to void your entire powertrain warranty while clinging to the fact that you overbought a car to "help the company."

If I have a problem I may be in trouble.

Speedster should be ok with warranty work though.

So instead of responding about the BS info in the previous post you move onto something else. Sent you another PM with more info.

Your missing the whole point of why I posted this. The clutch failed prematurely. Ford's efforts to investigate were weak given the past history of GT500 clutch issues. I don't agree with their diagnosis and have other people who reviewed the same material Ford did that feel likewise.

I do understand the mods made it harder to build me case. I really do understand that. You might want to check some other sites for responses. badponyclub, teamshebly, fordgt500, and such were a little more balanced.

I also updated the first post since I don't think I cam across right.

Your original and re-post on the original were VERY clear.

I took it into the dealer with all the mods on and told them what was going on.

The service manager was requested to take pictures of the car and clutch for Ford.

Via pictures only Ford determined the clutch failed because of my power modifications
That is your issue. Accept accountability, move on and stop whining.

Agreed.

Shit, I didn't throw this big of a tantrum when my 07 GT500's clutch failed on a bone stock car.

I took it to the dealer, they looked at it and said they wouldn't fix it, I complained and complained and they came down to $1k to replace it instead of $3k. I said nope, no thank you and went to a performance shop. Everything resolved in 2 days.

It isnt a Mustang vs Camaro or Mustang thread, its an issue with Ford/Ford Dealer. Just take out "GT500" for "Camaro" and its the same situation.
