Actually I prefer the dirty grungy interior, do you think that'll be an option?

^Funny. lol. It's called "dirty prototype option"...and costs $500 more...it's the electrical tape that costs so much.

Seriously, I can't wait to see the final product and compare to this pic....and to the concept pic.

it looks to me like ill be putting a bigger brake kit on my camaro. those calipers look tiny. the interior looks perfect for a pop out nav.

Just noticed something. Currently the dash still looks like a work in progress. Whatever. but take a peek at the door armrest in the first pic of the unfinished interior of this thread. right on the inner edges: the material is stiched...on a prototype.

Check out the pix of the insert of the inside drivers side door. Look at the shiny grey part...(in the concept, it would have been that large yellow part). I have to say (and I just noticed this), this is a much better improvement over the yellow...and on top of that, they added "flair" to it by making it shiny, or two tone compared to the rest of the door. THAT is cool.

Dragon, regarding this

I definitely think they lowered the seats in the prototype:
I completely agree. I recall quite a few people talking about not enough head room...course they had to raise the roof and all, but you don't want to do that too much. The only other option is to lower that drivers side seat. And, if you look at that concept, it was waaaay up there. I'd say, just by looking at the concept seat, it could have been lowered significantly...like 5 inuches or so. Good observation.

the real factor

Obviously the price of the Camaro is a large factor. Yes, we all want a perfect interior with all the bells and whistles, while that may happen, that is unlikely. The price is going to have to be reasonable, so some corners may have to be cut. The satin-finished aluminum steering wheel, the warm golden door panels, the leather dash, etc... This car WILL be very appealing inside and out. You can count on it. I am 100% positive the interior will be re-vamped for the best. There is still a year's worth of work to be done, so you can bet the car will amaze you as soon as you see/get in/drive/marry/make babies with the production model. Scott said so himself. I know I will not be disappointed. That is precisely what GM is doing well to avoid. That is why the production date for the public will not take place until very late this year, and not late last year. Everything must be taken into consideration when producing such a popular, powerful, and appealing vehicle that 99% of the population will love. They had me at hello in '04 when I first saw the leaked sketches. Nothing has changed.

Fbodfather, if you ever see this post, PLEASE make sure that the heelpad extends farther forward than other cars. I prefer to take out the floor mat so I have enough clearance (large feet) and I've actually worn holes in carpets before, on the front (firewall) side of the heelpad. If only they were made longer and reached underneath the resting position of the pedals when fully depressed. I hope this all makes sense. Thanks!

I noticed the two sun visors are light gray to match the trim on the doors and the dash. I guess they'll be included in the two-tone color schemes.

Anyone notice in the first pic the key hole in the bottom middle of the door maybe for the fuel door. Also in the third pic the tach redlines at 6000 RPMs.

Yes in the very first pic look directly below the door handle and right behind the door storage pocket and you will see it.

I can't decide if it's a keyhole, or a button with a little icon on there....
