about 8 years ago, I just had my older monte carlo repainted, and had it parked in a carport next to my winter car. I came outside 3 days, not 1, not 2, but 3 days in a row to find somebody had gotten into the car, and bashed the door into my winter car, blowing the paint off of my newly painted car, only to steal change, cd's and basically trashing the car. After the 3rd time, I decided to sleep in the car with my 357 revolver.. Car's got nicely tinted windows, and the young punk didn't see me until he was already sitting in my car next to me. I put the revolver in his mouth and cocked it. could I have killed him? it's a fine line legally, he was young, under 16, but armed with a screwdriver and a pocket knife, so maybe I could have. Instead I made him piss his pants literally, and I called the police, filed charges, and made his parents pay for the damage. I ran into the kids parents a while later. as weird as it sounds, they thanked me for not shooting they're child, but also thanked me for putting the fear of death into him, for it seemed to have a lasting effect on the young boys life.

Now, I live in ny. I have a 90 lb doberman in my house. Ny law states that if somebody breaks into my house, and my dog attacks them (doing his job), i'm liable for damages/injuries. So basically i'm left in a position where if somebody breaks into my house, and my dog gets them, his job is to hold them while I get my gun to shoot them, because dead men can't file law suits. Do I want to shoot anybody? NO. not at all, but i've worked way too hard for way too long for what I have, and i'll be damned if some punk's going to come into my world and take what i've busted my ass for. I didn't want you to think some of us are gun toting whackjobs looking to shoot somebody. I've carried weapons most of my life and i've never had to use one, and I hope I never do..
Thats just awesome

Very Sorry to hear this.

I had that happen at work 4 months after I bought a new 2007 Acura TL Type-S.

I was BREATHING FIRE OUT OF MY MOUTH. It cost me $1200 out of my pocket, but work paid $100 of it.

If they caught these people then that engineer should have went to their house and carved and spray painted his name on thier house to see how much they like it.
I suspect that WE (the population) have paid for a good part of these construction projects through stimuli packages and federal earmarks. We should all be offended because it's our property too!

+1 Correct.

But hey, the upside is that all these people probably have good self esteem after vandalizing the bridge.

Sorry to see it my friend, it use to happen to my fellow Corvette owners all the time. Like I always say " There is no shortage of ***holes in the world. She will be fixed, but the person who did it will always be an ***hole and there is nothing they can do about it!

I just think it's interesting how the modern day castle law is kind of a throwback to the old west days. Back in the day, messing with another man's horse to include stealing, was punishable by death. Now we just kinda replaced "horse" with "car."

Unless you're a mustang owner. Now you just kinda have a homonym.
