Question DOUBLE EXHAUST ON V6

DOES ANYONE KNOW IF THE V6 MODEL WILL HAVE A DOUBLE EXHAUST SYSTEM?

It's anyone's guess...but I'd bet no. Maybe an option?

Doubt it, really even V8's don't "need" a dual exhaust but its seen as a distinction between the v6 and v8 and adds that tone that everyone loves.. Putting a true dual or even a non-true dual exhaust on a v6 is like putting a fart can on a 4cyl non-turboed engine.. waste of money and puts out a bad image..

Look for a single on the v6 and a single to dual on the v8 (I'm predicting not a true dual)

pessimist....

Can't it be argued, though, that true duals offer less backpressure?
Devil's advocate, that's all..

Blah dragon its not an argument.. every setup is different on exhausts. In a general sense, yes, true duals offer less back pressure allowing for more efficient movement of exhaust from the engine. BUT the cost is double what a single exhaust would be and the benefits are negligible in manufacturing (racing and performance aside) and when you talk about an economic engine, you don't toss on goodies to raise the price just for a few hp.. its a v6 option for a reason.

I don't see any reason for a dual on a V6...none.

These days they can tune 'em anyway they want for sound. Lots of new cars that appear to be duals run through single cats before exiting as duals out the rear. Most factory systems today are close to being optimized for performance. While aftermarket systems do offer gains, they are not as dramatic as they used to be. Now if other mods are done to the motor, an aftermarket system can offer dramatic results.

So I guess what I'm saying is that duals are more for appearance than anything else. That said, I'm still a big fan of dual exhaust. And v8 noise is good. I'm all for waking the neighbors!!

I agree it won't come that way from the factory, but I am sure some aftermarket companies will start fabricating duals for the sixers.

The concept car had the LS2 V8, not a V6.
