That really stinks that they did that, on top of that for the states that don't require a front plate you now have that ugly plate molding on the bumper.

Blah
Actually most of both the U.S. (30 states) and Canada require front plates, but that's just a bolt on part and the bumper is smooth underneath as you've seen in ALL the other pictures! Geez!

maybe that huge lower grill is for cooling or to allow more airflow, i've been hearing that inside the intake setup it spins in circles. lol

other than that i like it. i'll get one.

I can't wait to see the official RS trim.

And I didn't pick up on how we know this is really an "SS"..can anyone inform me plz?
I was too perturbed by "octane_n_veins" posts, to want to keep going back a page. (sorry, just being honest)
Actually, I started a long tread laying out the facts and the speculation about trims. See the truth.

that little 'step' between body panels, and trunklid is a result of non-final fitting of the panels, I believe....being an IVER and all....

And.....*sigh* I don't want to, but I have to comment on this "kool-aid" idea. Why is it that because you (general statement) don't like a particular something, that means everyone else doesn't like either; but they just don't have the nads to admit it? Why is it so hard to believe that the people who compliment actually DO like what they see?

Well GM will answer that question next year."

What is the deal with July 22? Not trying to change the subject but keep seeing the date poppin up on other sites.
there are so many things wrong with this quote that I'm not even going to go through them all... just know this, most everything you said in this post is wrong... and you're going to have alot of egg on your face later on

And if you truly believe that I have a big red bridge for sale you might be interested in...
yeah, actually, I do think they would do that... and you want me to tell you why? because they are close enough to production date that they can start disclosing information and taking orders for cars... and the best way to get information to the public is through the dealership network... educate your dealers, they educate the enthusiasts (arguably the first in line to buy the car) and the enthusiasts educate the masses... simple as that.. and if you were a big company and wanted to educate the masses about a new product, would you put it out for the rest of the world to know first? or tell your sales employees about it first? I'm betting on telling your sales staff first.

Well, after reading all 204 posts, (unlike some people obviously have not), I have come to this conclusion: I love this car and if Mr. Settlemire hasn't pulled whats left of his hair out after reading some of the ridiculous posts in this thread, I would be surprised!!! That being said, I will wait until July 22nd, when I'm at the broadcast at my favorite Chevy dealer, to offer my final judgements or opinions. I CAN'T WAIT!!!!!!!

SS knows a hell of a lot more about the entire project than any of us do.

MAC - Okay, you're right. That cheesy spoiler has to go, but the rest isn't bad. Your sig has shown me the light.

Chevydude26 - I don't have weird taste, I have my taste.

I also think that moving the fog lamps out have made the front fascia look odd. It almost makes it look like an old NASCAR front end. Flat, plain and more than a little boring. It also looks cheap. You can feel the plastic vibe. I've never been a big fan of the way the front end dips in the center. I think it would look much better if the angle of the grille was straighter, much more like the '69.
