No Production model exists yet (at least known to exist).. Look for it later this year (3rd quarter)

I'm I the only one that saw on MSNBC (I think) on Monday where there was a lady sitting in the Orange Hugger Camaro? It flashed for 2 seconds as the host was talking about the cars at the Detroit Autoshow. I stayed up the whole night to see anything about the Camaro, only slight mentions. Errrr.

Only the bumblebee with modifications was/is at the detroit auto show. The highlight this year was the malibu, the new zr1 vette, and the cts-v coupe.

Still haven't gotten any notifications of when/where the concepts will be...at which auto shows and when. Sorry...wish we knew. Their schedules can change so quickly that they probably don't want to post up when/where only to let anyone down.

The Production Camaro won't be seen at any autoshows for quite some time. It's been strongly hinted, though - that we'll see it at this year's Indy bash in Sept.
However, if you're interested in the concepts (though, who would be) I believe this may be able to help you out. Courtesy of CamaroZ28.com (was the quickest one I could find.....) Quote:

I wish the production Camaro were at an auto show. That means there would be more pictures of her on line. The anticipation of what's under the hood would slow from a boil to a simmer. I hope it is no less than a 400 HP motor in the base V8. I could tune her to 450 without voiding the warranty. (so long as I put all the production parts back when I take her in). Hopefully I'll never have to take her in though. They have been working on her slowly so they can avoid problems with the production model after all.

It would be nice for something to appear on this side of the pond - I think the first time I'll see it will be July 2009 at the London Motor Show - that's a long way off.

I think the Camaro will only ever debut at the London Motor Show if someone (Vauxall) decides they are going to import them officially. |

I wrote the Chicago Auto show last November to ask them if anything related to the Concept Camaro would be at the show. They have yet to write me back and the show is next month! Guess not...

Somebody needs to create a Concept Tracker. It would be a website with an image of a map and different colored marks representing where each Concept is currently and where it was confirmed to be next.
We have these lists that were given to us long ago with tentative dates and times for certain cities. However, I can promise you that the Convertible Concept was not only in one place between Sept. '07 and Apr. '08. Unless I'm wrong, the list that Dragoneye posted, while the most complete that we have access too, is still missing dates and locations for some appearances that may not have been decided on when the list was created. I would hate to be sitting here at my desk typing away, only to find out later that a Concept was on display only a few miles away. |
