Yeah I wouldn't read into Fords issues = ZL1... After the prints were done up they each ran their own race.

It's pretty fanboy to say this was all as planned. It was a delayed arrival due to transmission issues, not factory build scheduling that some were claiming.
There is a reason gm hyped A10 to heck and never promoted M6 or released M6 stats UNTIL the first batch was announced with no A10 in sight for the next year. Are we even 100% about it being ready for Q1? My dealer rep can't even tell me if I'm able to get A10 for sure and it's getting real close to when they said they'd begin building.

+1

And those that are saying April, that's 2nd quarter. What a debacle. If I was in the market for an A10 ZL1, I would just wait for the 2018's. No use in paying a full year extra of depreciation for only 3 months of driving.

Nah, I want a year fifty. I won't be around for a year 100 and year 51 means nothing to anybody ...

To the vast majority, year 50 doesn't mean anything to anybody either. Does anyone care at all about the year 50 Mustangs? Or any other anniversary edition Mustang? And that's with Mustang guys actually caring about heritage.

And where do you get that info from? The internet? LOL. Some here on this forrum have contacts above and beyond most on here and may not be able to say exactly who they talk to but the info is good.

Boy...this week is apparently the week of "fanboys" and "real car guys"...

I hate to be so blunt in my reply: but you're assuming a lot...and you're wrong.

You're dealership *should* know by late this week what their allocation is for A10 ZL1s. No orders have been accepted as of yet, because that information has not been released.

I'm like you. I'd prefer the fifty, but at the same time, a 2018 model wouldn't be the end of the world for me. I've actually been kind of back and forth on the fifty emblem on the steering wheel instead of the ZL1. I don't think there is anything in front of you inside the car that says ZL1. It's all behind you on the seats. The worst part of ending up with a 2018 is the extra wait. I'd prefer to be driving one.

I hope you're right and I hope my dealer gets one for me!

Thank you...after spending 12 years of working in Mexico in the mfg industry making wire harnesses for automotive, medical, white goods, consumer, professional, etc, some of the comments really do make you shake your head.

Really wish some of the folks here understood what it takes to bring a concept all the way to product launch & getting procurement in place to meet target dates.
