brake help
hey guys i'm currently trying to upgrade my v6 brakes and rotors.
I want to buy it off amazon because I can finance it and build some credit. as of right now I have front rotors that will fit but cannot find calipers that will fit. I was thinking though, that if i'm upgrading the rotors would these calipers fit. If someone could help that'd be great. If you can help can you find pads and lines and fluid that will work as well please hardware kit http://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B00...=ATVPDKIKX0DER rotors http://www.amazon.com/ACDelco-177-11...C9EQ38269XD7SE http://www.amazon.com/ACDelco-177-11...gy_auto_text_y calipers http://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B00...=ATVPDKIKX0DER http://www.amazon.com/ACDelco-172-24...xgy_auto_img_y

Well if you are wanting six piston calipers you are on the right track. Here is a thread with all the part numbers that will fit your car. Not sure what wheels you have. That may be an issue with clearing the calipers.
http://www.camaro5.com/forums/showthread.php?t=348133 You will also want to get a set of brake lines. Call JDP Motorsports and they can set you up with the right brake lines or look in the thread for the part number. You will also want to get a set of four piston calipers and rotors for the rear. There is a cheaper solution for rotors also in that thread instead of the ZL1 rotors.

Best thing to do is ask the vendor who you are buying them from. They should know what will or will not work. But yes it should fit.

Amazon has the stock pads too. Also, make sure you order ZL1 brake lines. I ordered mine from Racing Brake.

I ordered my pads from racing brake. Great pad, no noise and cheaper than OEM pads.

For the brake lines I suggest Goodridge part # 12227.
For the rear brakes, OEM SS rotors and calipers are a good way to go. Feel free to call, PM or email me anytime with questions. Best regards, Tyler 888-308-6007 |

I'm running the stoptech Performance street pads on my car right now. So far their silent and have good feel to them. Not quite as aggressive as the Hawk HP+ I was using and the hawks were really noisy. Also, their very affordable by comparison, I think the whole set cost me less than 140 from amazon.
Far as I know they should make pads for that 6 piston cadillac caliper as well. They should work especially well with the bigger calipers.

As for pads, what are you doing with the car? Pad selection varies by application/usage. Best regards, Tyler 888-308-6007 |
