e-85 or 93
Im getting my car tuned on the dyno next week. I bought stainlessworks long tube headers and x-pipe. Also bought a LMR cold air. My question is to tune .with e-85 or 93 and has anyone tried e-85 with good results.

I went through the thread earlier and I don't think there is much difference. However, I have been told that Mobil and Sunoco offer the best quality 93-octane and Cheveron/Texaco add Techron to the gas which will affect the tune.

None of the engines on the Camaro are e85 compatible. Ethanol fuel will eat through some materials in an engine/fuel system not designed to run high concentrations of it. DO NOT use e85 unless the manufacturer says its ok.

I've looked around here in San Diego and haven't seen any gas over 91 octane :( Still researching though...

I wouldn't. The engine has to be specifically built to run e85, you would def do damage

How does Techron affect the tune? This is confusing as Chevron is a Top Tier gas recommended by GM. If there is better 93 to run in it I would like that to be substantiated. Thanks

Everybody, read this! Do not put E85 in a car unless you are prepared to replace some parts with E85-compatible components. If your car is not running E85 out of the box, then you have some building to do before it is ready.

not megga, but larger injectors would be on the list of things to change over
