My SS emblem on rear blackout mod
I installed a repro SS emblem in place of the rear bowtie.
After installing the blackout vinyl graphic, I modified an SS emblem to use the existing trunk holes. I first cut off the two mounting posts. I slightly bent the emblem to match the angle of the rear trunk. I then epoxied in some small magnets. Then I cut and epoxied on some wooden guide pins. These pins go into the existing holes to prevent the emblem from moving up/down and left/right. The magnets hold it to the trunk. It is easily removed. The only thing I wasn't expecting is that the epoxy was attracted to the magnets. It migrated to the top and I had to keep wiping if off as it cured.

Hmm, I'm not sure, but I think they are upside down. Love your technique.

I look at this before I started and measured them every which way I could. It was symmetrical. But I do agree that at some angles it looks different.

Yep. Great ideas but definetly fix that before it makes the FAIL blog. I almost did the same with the SLP adhesive SS.
