After my first wash I found... edited

A darn paint flaw. I actually said alot worse than that but they might kick me out of the forum for the language.
Alright, class vote would you have them try and repaint it? It near the flares, they would probably have to paint the whole side to blend it in. In person up close it looks like someone brushed into the side of the car the pictures can't really do it justice. Alright here are a few more pictures from a different angle. In the bottom ones can you see the dark series of blotches or dots in a line coming out of the reflection of the tree next to the last/back flare.

At least the metallic flake hides it well. Try a solid non-metallic color. It shows up even worse. To be honest, I have yet to see a factory painted Camaro without flaws.

if u are referring to the specks that look like little rock chips, that is not a paint flaw. You will get more of those chips in that area if you drive in gravelly roads.

I'm not seeing anything. I've got the spoiler paint chips which I'll have them look at during the complimentary oil change. Besides that though, VR paint job looks pretty good.

My Summit white SS was built on 8/3/09 and the paint is perfect. after 9000+ miles it has only one small hood chip. Otherwise it is flawless. Maybe I'm just lucky but I wish everyone would stop complaining about this great car.

Don't tell me you car does not have orange peel. All of today's factory paint has it to some degree. A vehicle would have to be color sanded several times... something a factory making hundreds of thousands of cars just can't do.

Orange peel aside (as it is expected)... I've seen dust particles under the color, under just the clear, chips in the seams where body meets bumpers. Not to mention all the horror story threads.

I'm actually not complaining. I didn't buy this car to be a show car or trailer queen. I drive it and sh!t happens. But to say these paint jobs are flawless is a stretch. They are OK factory paint jobs. You might even be lucky and have a good factory paint job. But to say they are flawless... go to a car show sometime and look a professionally done show car.

Ahhhh, I remember those anal retentive-brand new Camaro owner days...concerned about every fleck. Just drive it and enjoy it! No one sees that stuff.

I came around and you will too!
