l99 ls3 conversion and some other questions..
Hey decided to stay naturally aspirated for now. I think we are going to do the ls3 conversion, cam, and headers. Can I hit 450+ hp with the setup or what else could I toss in to get me their. Looking to spend about 7-8k. Probably add forced air next year....

Do the forced air now with that 7K and you should be over the 450+ range.
If you do not want the blower I would add some good heads to want you have to get you over the 450+ range. Bill |

Why do you want to convert to LS3 instead of just deleting AFM? TSP can get you where you want to be for $5000 in parts, add the labor and its still within your budget.

Trying to with the motor work before I do forced air....would like to start their, then move to forced air if I decide to next year...my wife loves the sound of a cam'd car....so I have to please her as well

i think the conversion alone will get you close to 400 rwhp, a good cam and a set of heads should get you the rest of the way, also a set of lt's

do you really have to do the conversion to get a good cam, or just the afm delete? im still learning here so if its a stupid question sorry

no their are several companies making vvt cams for the l99, but i think their are more cam options for the ls3.
