Overhaul Bumper

Just had someone back into my Camaro...

Anyways looking at a few different body shop estimates they have the line items in the attachment below. What is the top item... "Overhaul Rear Bumper Cover Assy", what does this include that is not in the "Repair" process?

That's a very good question. Mine didn't have that when I had the same thing happen.

Mine had repair, and a paint and finishing segment.

Basically you got ripped off by the body shop for about an hour's worth of labor they didn't do, but charged you for anyways. Overhauling the Bumper Cover Assembly means disassembling the entire bumper assembly. This means removing the bumper reinforcement and bumper absorber which takes extra time, but isn't needed for the bumper repair you had done. They should have only charged you to R & I the Bumper Cover and any trim mounted directly to the cover. I'd go back to the shop and ask for some money back if you cared enough.
