Dumb question
I know that this is a stupid question to ask but what exactly is drone? I've tried searching but I can't find an accurate description of what it really is.

It is an annoying hum sound created by the resonance of the exhaust system. Bad drone can literally rattle your your cabin.

Usually at low rpm's, if you want to see what it's like, put on ear muffs or ear plugs, keep your lips sealed and make an "mmmmmmm" humming exhaling through your nose. That's the best way I can describe it :s Mine gets it at the worst possible speed/rpm combo: 75-80mph at 1850-1950 rpms :s That's highway cruising for me lol.
