Void Ticket? help!
so i got a ticket this morning, for failure to yield. There is a very busy road in the morning, and the turning lane into my high school, there is about 45 cars in it at a time so it is very busy. I was running a little late and went it my was turn to turn in, the arrow was yellow, and then turned green(yield before go) and the oncoming traffic was supposed to go. but i was already moving in the lane and figured i could make it before they could even get to 3 mph. the cop pulled me over, and gave me a 87 dollar ticket. the thing is, is that it says2010 Chevrolet Corvette (hah i wish) and my friends uncle is a lawyer and said that it would make it void? any ideas? i will also take comments about how stupid my ticket is. thanks
PS. this is my 2nd ticket in about a 4 month span, and the other was improper lane usage by swerving. i was coming home from hockey and changed the radio and i went a little over the center line, at 11:30 at night with about 3 other cars on the whole road.. i think cops dont like 17 year olds driving camaros |

I'm confused on the yellow / green arrow thing? Was it flashing back and forth between yellow and green? If you had a solid green arrow then you had the right of way and should not have to try to out run any other cars into the parking lot!

No, i was turning left, and all the cars before me got to go because they had a green arrow left (their right of way) and when i got up to my turn it turned to a yellow arrow, and then a solid green light which means it is the cars opposite's way to go, but if there is time, i may turn left. i was already moving, and knew i could beat them with ease. i think the cop speeding thru 4 lanes of traffic was more danger than me...

First, what you did was pretty reckless and the outcome could had been a lot worse.
Second, you're young. Slow down and enjoy a long life; eventually the arrow will turn green again!! Hopefully you can get the ticket taken care of and learn a lesson at the same time.

Yes I think you got lucky, that voids the ticket. At least it did for me (in CA) when a cop wrote the wrong speed limit in the zone I got a speeding ticket on. If the cop wrote up the ticket wrong, you're good to go. But you have to go to court and see a judge to get it taken care of. Don't admit ANYTHING during the trial, simply say you drive a 2010 CAMARO and not a Corvette. Good luck!
