Thumbs down SLP LOUDMOUTH II axle-back on 2011 ss

I had an SLP LOUDMOUTH II axle-back set-up installed on my 2011 SS. As soon as the guy at the muffler shop started the car up,he was surprised. He came and got me and the first words out of his mouth were "you are gonna be pissed". And as soon as I heard it, I WAS! It sounds NOTHING like the SLP video! Which is why I bought this set-up.It was barely louder than the stock mufflers!! BTW as a retired master autobody technician/painter, I know a couple things about cars....Anyway I called up the place I purchased it through,(called SP**DTWEAKERZ) and complained that the system sounded nothing like the video(on thier ad), I got nothing but a RUDE run-around and an offer to exchange it for a "louder version",but no offer to re-imburse any labor, shipping, cost difference, etc. and was told to call SLP. So I did, and all the help they offered was "go buy an x-pipe" "that should help". This is literally one of the most rediculous sounding systems Ive heard in all my years(makes my LS3 sound like a v-6 NO OFFENSE). And the worst customer service also.I threw $700 out the window.
You would think that a company like SLP would be on top of this and wouldnt produce a VERY misleading video, just to peddle thier crappy exhaust. I'm ordering a Corsa cat back system, since I have heard them personally and like the sound. Thanks

I have these LM II behind ARH 1 7/8" headers and a full 3" exhaust and I always get complements on how bad ass my car sounds.
Even before I put my headers on, I loved how the car sounded. I know my car was responsible for selling at least 3 sets of LM II to other Gen 5 owners.
They sound sweet!

The videos are probably full exhaust, not just axle back. Every SLP video I have seen has LT headers as well.

A few things.

First off, I had the LMII on my wifes car and liked it a bit. It was not loud at all, and sounded good. Anything that still has the 4 factory cats is not going to be super loud. Just the way it is.

Also, are you basing this on sound from inside the car? A lot of times the exhaust sounds way quieter inside the car than out.

The sound inside the car is fine, its nice and quiet. But too quiet. Whats the point in owning a hotrod thats quiet? lol. I checked out all the videos and liked the LMII. I got asked today if it was a v8 or a v6. Sheesh.
I think I may go with what robertharriSS has. At least this way im not eating the cost of the LMII by going with another whole setup.
Also I was told today that the resonators are different on the 2011 than the 2010. And that the 2011's are bigger and square, instead of round and smaller. Which I suppose could explain the issue more clearly?? And there is a good chance that this has not come to SLP's attention yet. Still the fact remains that I bought something that was clearly misrepresented.
Thanks, I appreciate the comments.

edit: If I remove the resonators alone and leave the cats, will cause a CEL?

Update....I decided to try the x-pipe ,deleting the resonator. Did the trick! Sounds great now. The guy at the muffler shop also did something to the SLP LMII mufflers but wouldnt tell me what he did..lol. Anyway I just wanted to acknowledge Burdens Muffler & towing for the killer work.

The resonator killsssss it you have to get a catback or else don't bother with it even the stock mufflers sound decent with the resonators taken out. get the xpipe and your fine

I started out with the LM II and I liked it, lighter and louder than stock. Now mated up to a full SLP system, I've not heard a sweeter system.
