Question about Injen CAI install
Just got my Injen kit today, I'm going to install it over the weekend. I was skimmiing through the instructions and everything seems simple enough. The only thing I'm unsure about is how to remove the plastic clips from the mud gaurd inside the fender. I've messed with these plastic clips on other cars before and I always break them try to get them off. So to the people that already did this install, how do you get these off properly?

I did not have to take those out. I used a star bit. Just inside the inner fender there are about 4 star-bit screws, remove them and you can bend the inner fender out of the way to remove the washer res. I ended up breaking my washer cap that must be reused. So I need to order one from the stealer. It's a simple install, I done mine in ab hour and a half.

Dont be scared to pull them out... they feel like they are going to break. I used a flat head screwdriver and they came off with a little force.. none broke. that was probably the hardest part of the install!

search alittle on here there is great pics and instrustions plus what tools you can buy for $10. if ya break them they are cheap to replace. Install is pretty straight forward and not at all difficult.

With a flat tip screwdriver or a door panel remover pry up on the top head. it will pop out about 1/2", then pull the retainer out of the hole. Replace by reversing the process. There are also 4 thorex (star ) screws. I just put the car on a jackstand and removed the left front wheel and the inner finder. You will have lots of room and it will be easy to work on.

These are the tools that you should be looking to get and use, or something similar, if you plan to do some mods on the Camaro these will come in handy. I have used them to remove the center cover speaker, some panel trim when doing foot well lighting, rear trunk close out panel removal, and of course the clips inside the wheel for the Injen install.
The instructions are very clear from Injen. Take your time and enjoy. Not much to it.
