stereo install questions

i am getting ready upgrade the entire stereo in my 2LT-RS.

after reading the wiring guide on the forum here i had a few questions...

first question....
are there only 4 wires, 2 pairs (left and right) for the front outputs off the factory boston amp? if so where are the speakers crossed over? or are there 4 pairs of wires running from the trunk to the front doors?

many other cars usually cross the front component speakers off at the amp, so there are 4 pairs of wires going to the front of the car, front left mid, front left tweeter and front right mid, front right tweeter.. i was hoping this is the case...

the reason i was hoping all 4 sets of those wires were in the trunk is because i am not using cross overs for my component speakers. i will be crossing my component speakers over at my 4 channel.... top 2 channels to the left and right tweeters, bottom 2 channels to the left and right. mid bass drivers.. i wanted to pick up all these wires in the trunk at the amp.

second question....
i will be using the metra dash kit... if i use the remote turn on wire in the kit, can i find it in the trunk at the amp, i was hoping to pass the remote turn on wire from the metra kit, through the factory wiring harness in the car, so i can hook my amps up to it in the trunk

third question....
i dont really want to chop up/ splice into, the factory amp harness in the trunk to hook up all my wires.. i really was hoping to just buy reverse plugs, and plug into the factory plugs.. anyone know where i could get plugs and pins?

thank you to whoever can answer these questions..
