Theoretically? Yes. Actuality? Horrible idea. If once just once you leave it in gear cars starts up and goes on a rampage. There are a ton of threads on this just search.

I wouldn't recommend it, there are modules available to supposedly "see" if the car i's in gear but it still has the potential for failure.

I once saw a car driving across a parking lot with a speaker saying "autostart in progress, please stand back", and the owner was running after it .. I was rolling on the ground laughing

Yes. There are many remote starters out there these days that are made to be used in manuals. They all have a shutdown sequence that will not allow the starter to work if it is in gear. They leave the engine running until you get out of the car and lock it, and it is obviously in neutral at that point.

Find a shop to do it for you. Not something you want to do as a first time DIY. There's a ton of places in the Tampa area that could help you out.

I have no idea what the prices are like in your area. Up here in MA it would be about $300ish for a basic remote start with keyless entry, installed. You'd have to call around.

My question is... can you install remote start on a manual, and use the factory fab to start it? I really like the factory one, would have to have to carry that and another one on me
