This may be a dumb question but...
I am thinking about putting on catted midpipes instead of long tubes only for sound purposes. I am worried that the headers will make it annoyingly loud for everyday use inside the car. So I was wondering, would the midpipes do the same thing?
I'm just asking because if they're going to make the same amount of cabin noise, I might as well just get the long tubes and gain more HP.

I have the SOLO mid pipes and they don't make anymore cabin noise than stock while cruising. It's when you start to put you foot in it that it starts to growl. Oh and idle sounds nice too.

sweet. i guess i was worried about extra drone in the cabin. the s-type axle back that i have does its little drone thing up around 15-1800 rpms. i just didnt want to be annoyed while driving around casually. I don't mind the WOT sound

![]() Unless you were try to avoid tuning, LT wth with their highflow cats would probably be the way to go.

What he said! Good advise! The high flow cats would be great with stock manifold & exhaust but with the Borlas it will magnify any drone you are having! Might as well go with LT's and cats but it will be loud!

The drone keeps me out of 6th gear with my headers and exhaust. But I've heard cruizing between 1500 and 2K rpms is hard on the egine anyway. I also heard on hear that switching cams will change where your RMP ponts are at given sppeds in different gears...ie 6th gear 2K @75 mph instead of 80-85 mph to get to 2K with stock cam.

Well at first on short distance trips aka around town driving its awesome. Then on my first long distance trip 600 miles. It was hell the drone got really annoying but, then when I was back home driving locally. I didn't notice as much of a drone anymore So A it was broke in and was quieter or B I just got used to it and didn't notice it anymore. I recently moved a month ago and had to drive another long trip got a little annoying at the end of the trip. Still not that bad though one thing to add Man my borla exhaust sounds a 1000 times better and louder with the HIGH flow cats on than without. I think it sounds not much louder than stock with catbacks and no highflow cats I have the sport borla exhaust.
