Corvette for a Camaro
I posted this is the Corvette forum and received some interesting responses.
Anyone else out there trade in their C6 for a Camaro? After ten years of driving a C5's and C6's, I decided to trade for a 2010 Camaro while I wait for the C7s to debut. I'm wondering who else has done this and how their experience has been! |

I didn't trade, I have an 05 C6 and I bought a 2010 SS/RS. I've been a Camaro owner since 1971.

I sold my 2002 C5 Coupe to get my 2010 2SSRS, and I'm happy. It's an entirely different animal in my opinion; ones a small sports car, and the other a rather large muscle car. That being said, I've had camaro's in the past and I simply felt they were more my style, so I'm definitely happy! Will I probably want a C7... yea....

My husband is trying to sell our 5th Gen so he can get a C5 Z06 in Electron Blue.
Offers/trades are considered.

We own a IOM 2010 Camaro, and a VYT 2006 Z06.
While the Z06 is much faster, the Camaro is a better driving car! It is also more comfortable. Thanks, Roger |

I own both also and they are two very different kinds of cars. The Camaro is just so much fun to drive, while the 'Vette is a sort of ego thing. I prefer the Camaro for the everyday drive, while the Corvette is that "special" ride.

This is my 4th Camaro in 20 years (1 Camaro2, 2 Camaro3s, and 1 Camaro5.) This is my 4th Corvette in 16 years (C3, C4, C5, C6).
The Camaro was always Daily Driver.. the Vette was always my Pampered Weekend Toy. I will always have a Vette... it will always be Pampered. I love my Camaro, but it's no way on the same level as my previous C5 (altho the Camaro has a better interior) let alone my C6. Put it this way... I cross shopped my Camaro with a Malibu (my wife ended up getting), a Lacrosse, and a Terrain. I cross-shopped my C6 Z51 with a Z06, a Viper, and (4give me Lord) a 911 Turbo .In my defense... I really had no intent on buying the 911.. just wanted to make sure Chevy had matched the Porsche's refined performance. They did |

I see that there are hater's on both sides!!
![]() ![]() They are both totally different and you'd buy each of them for totally different reasons. I could debate this forever but all I can say is . . . Buy both and enjoy the beauty and performance of both depending on your mood! ![]() I did . . . ![]()

I have owned a 02 C5Z And a 06 C6 A6 and I will say the C6 is all around a better built car, The C5Z would run off and hide from the C6, I sold the C6 and replaced it with the 2011 2SS and I DO NOT miss my C6 one single bit, Especially with the horrible roads we have in Louisiana that vette would rattle you out of the car and that car was tight as can be, The camaro is alot better ride and alot less road noise. I enjoy driving the camaro and feel like its a sports car with the M6, I didnt care for the A6 diditn feel like It had that spunk, even though the camaro is slower than it was the vette had that deceiving power.
