Both Cigarette Lighter Outlets Quit Working

Both of my cigarette lighter outlets quit working...the one in front of the gear shifter and the other in the center compartment between the front seats. I use to have a radar detector plugged into one of them and a 12V DVD player in the other one and both outlets worked fine for several months and then just suddenly quit working. My radar detector and DVD player both still work fine in other sources. I've triple checked all the fuses, both under the hood in the fuse box and on the side of the dash and all fuses are good. Does anyone have any ideas as to why both of these outlets quit working? I'm completely bum fuzzled! Thanks in advance for your input.

If memory serves me, they run off a single 10amp fuse on the driver side dash. If the fuse is good, sounds like a dealer warranty issue. Who knows - maybe a bad wire. Best to have the dealer chase down electrical issues.

Thanks for the info gill. I'll check the fuse again. If it's okay I'll take 'er to the stealership.

I checked all the fuses and none of them are blowed. Very puzzling!

Actually they run on two separate fuses... here is my thread about it with pics...

Doesn't make sense that they'd both blow at the same time though...

I checked my fuses again and found they were both blowed. When I checked them the first time I thought they were okay but I guess the light wasn't bright enough for me to actually see the fuses very well. I replaced the fuses and all is well.

A sureties and way quicker and easier way to check fuses is with a test light. That's why those little metal things are exposed on the backside of the fuses

i did not read all posts. but i do not know where all the fuses are but thought i would ask. are you sure they are cigarette lighter plugs? cause i know in my tc one is and the other is a accessory.

so i am thinking they are both accessory and maybe the fuses for those are under the hood. Again did not read all post and also have no clue about any or all of the fuses since i have not had my car for just about a year and a half.
