2011 2SS HUD pictures, taken on new year's day trip!

TO all a good year, may you all have many chances to take your baby out for a spin! ;')

I went to the country today with my two kiddies in tow to see an old friend. There was very thick fog most of the way to the Eastern Townships from Montreal and back, late at night. The Camaro handled things without a hitch, and I must say I appreciated the HUD enormously!

I found that in those "tight cheek" moments of little to no visibility, it was important to have my eyes glued to the road. THe HUD is always omni present yet not intrusive or annoying. It falls into your peripheral vision until you need it, want it, or someone calls you for example and it changes to display the current goings on in your Camaro.

Here are a few pix from my trip going out, there was no pictures taken for the night ride home as it would have been imprudent to attempt, as things were very dangeous at night with heavy fog. The HID lights are quite impressive at night in fog as they push far into the dense moisture to illuminate reflective markers and lines on the road. I wish I could get the fog lights on at will though as all light would have helped for tonights drive home.

eB

p.s. I managed to pull 10.2 Liters per hundred today with my 2SS/M6! not bad in my book!

Used 75 Camaro = $3500
Rolling restoration over 10 years = $5000
$5 of gas burned in 10 seconds = Priceless!

LMAO.... " tight cheek " moment

I was thinking of doing the retro fit for the HUD, it does look cool.

Check out our Montreal car show thread, we're trying to get a group together

I just uploaded some video to YouTube, I will paste the links to this thread shortly so you can see some of the video that was shot by my daughter while I drove. The HUD is pretty awesome, I must admit.
