HRE Introduces New 590RS Forged Line For 2011

All-New Lightweight Forged 3-Piece Wheels Offer Cutting-Edge Performance & Design

San Diego, Calif. (January 2011) - HRE Performance Wheels has added three completely new designs to their three – piece wheel line featuring motorsports-inspired performance engineering, lightweight forged aluminum construction and precision-machined spoke geometry. The 590RS is built to enhance any of today’s most advanced sportscars and grand touring cars.

Precision machined from aircraft grade 6061-T6 alloy on-site at the HRE facility in San Diego, the new 590RS line is available as the 590RS mesh, the 593RS multi-spoke and 595RS five-spoke in 18, 19 and 20-inch diameters with widths ranging from 7.5 to 15-inches and a wide range of custom offsets. A wide variety of finishes and colors are available.

All HRE wheels are engineered to minimize unsprung mass and rotational inertia for optimal acceleration, handling and braking performance. One thing you probably notice about these wheels is the extra detail work done to the sides of the spokes, in the "window" areas. This requires a more expensive CNC milling machine, a 5-axis version. The side spoke details are done to further reduce weight, while maintaining strength. Most wheels out there only use a 3-axis machine, and cannot duplicate the side spoke pockets. There are only a few brands at the moment that do the 5-axis machining. Just FYI.

In identical sizes, the monoblock 1-piece forged should be lighter. Especially their new P40-S series. Those are also 5-axis machined and have the side spoke pockets.
