Interior some light LED Failed :(

Interior *DOME* light LED failed

I recently bought 4 3-chip LED lamps. 2 for the license plate, 1 for the trunk and 1 for the interior light. Two days later it doesn't work. I had to swap it with the trunk light and put a stock one back into the trunk. I have the interior light set to the middle where the light turns on when the doors open and turn off when they close. Did this cause the failur? The bulb kinda has a burnt smell but I can't see anything on the outside. Did this lamp fail 1 out of a batch or will they continue to fail if I keep it set this way?

ducq,

I bought my LED's about 5 months ago and have my interior light set to the middle where the light turns on when the doors open and turn off when they close as well, and I have had no problems. I also have the LED in the trunk and it has not caused me any issues. Looks like you may have gotten a bad light. I love my LED's and get many compliments as the blue glow looks awesome at night :-)

Mike
