Need help choosing the right heads and cam to run 11's!!
Hello everyone I am new to the site and would like to start off by saying so far I have read a lot of helpful threads!!
Now the overall goal with my 2010 Camaro 1SS/RS LS3 6M is to run mid to low 11's all motor and without taking any weight out of the car besides getting better parts!! The current list of mods are Airaid CAI, Pacestter 1 3/4 LT w/o cats, a 3in MBRP exhaust and spohn LCA's. The car also has a mild street tune in it and made 401/393 to the wheels! Not to bad but due to spinning the best i could get out of it 13.14 @110, I know I need to put on a set DR's and that is first on the list! The package I want to go with is the Texas Speed Package PN 199-PKG5, with the 231-236 641-615 cam with the 111 LSA. I would like to make 500/450 to the wheels by doing this, my question is has anybody out there actually used this package and how did it turn out for them? I will also put on the crank pulley and later on about a month down the road add the 102 TB and intake! Those of you who are in the 11's N/A. what combos are you all running? What has been the best result from a heads and cam being installed? I'm also trying to stay within a $3500.00 budget. that is another reason I may choose to go with TSP!! Thanks for listening to me ramble!! |

1 7/8 Kooks headers, Rototfab intake, Comp cam kit(big cam, alot of top end and bucks a bit at low rpm's) Dyno tune and muffler delete. Drag radial tires, and alot of practice
![]() Best time 11.82 @ 119 in decent weather. I've got 470/430 to the wheels. Good luck

My 231-236 drives like a baby. Not stock, but pretty close. It's nothing like a huge cam (trex etc) on an ls1. If a stock cam was a 1 on a 1-10 drivability scale, and a big solid roller being a 10, the 231/236 might be a 3.5 or a 4. G6x3 being a 6 on that same scale. The LS3 really does eat up big cams

My car made 481 RWHP and 453 RWTQ with some bolt ons!! Lethal Performance in San Antonio, Tx installed a TSP 231/236 TSP Cam, Fast LSXr 102, TSP underdrive pulley and tuned it!! It resulted in a gain of 80 HP and 60 TQ! I was very happy with the way the car turned out! All mods are listed below! Not bad for a few bolt-ons, cam and stock heads!! Next on the agenda is to port match the heads and intake to put me around 500 RWHP and 475 RWTQ!! Still with a stock long block! The car is daily driven and is not just a 1/4 mile car, more like an allaround DD that can get you from point A to point B really quickly!! Forgot they ported the stock TB too! Before the cam, t-stat, Fast intake, TB porting, and the TSP under drive pulley the car made 401/393 the the wheels with a very mild tune! I would recommend Lethal to anyone in the Texas area, it is worth the drive and like Danny said to me many times, "you get what you pay for"!!
TSP Cam 231/236/TSP Underdrive/Fast LSXr 102 w/Ported Stock TB/ AirAid CAI/ 1 3/4 Pacesetter LT No Cats/3 IN MBRP O/R Exhaust/160* T-Stat/Spohn LCA's/ Lethal Performance Custom Dyno Tune=481 RWHP 453 RWTQ!! |
