HID Bulb Replacement - Camaro5 Chevy Camaro Forum / Camaro ZL1, SS and V6 Forums

I need help to make sure I don't ruin my HID bulbs when I replace them.
Is there anything I need to disconnect to make sure I don't damage the old bulb or the new ones when I change them. I want to put in 6000K bulbs so they will match my AAC DRLs better. I've heard there may be some residual voltage on the connection that could burn out the electronics. A friend of mine blew three bulbs changing his.

Can anyone help me so I don't make the same mistake?

a bulb swap is just that, unless you're changing ballasts? Pull the fuse if you're concerned about stored voltage???

Okay. Do you think those other bulbs blew from some voltage on the lines?
It really freaked him out... One original bulb and two new ones.
