Touch up paint - compounding help?

I need some advice. I touched up two small chips in the paint. One turned out perfect, but the one on the side of the door is raised above the level of the paint.

My first thought is to get an orbital polisher and try to polish it smooth and even with the paint.

Is this the best way to do this? If so, what type polisher and polish/compound should I use?
The only compounding I've ever done was around 10 years ago and it was the type you put on like wax but rub in, then wipe it off and wax. So I really want to make sure I'm getting advice before I start this.

I'd recommend ordering the "blob remover" from Langka. This is specifically designed to do what you need. Although you really should've had it available while you were painting, not sure how well it's gonna work after it's been dried for a while.

I'd still try Langka before anything else.

I saw 2LTRS video on this. Looks easy enough to use.

The 2 oz. deal is only 19.95. Well worth the price.
